Restaurant.com certificate DEALS!!!

Yes $11 or 13 which I cannot remember. I would park at Boardwalk and stroll over to Swan/Dolphin to avoid parking fee.

During busy times of year and Food and Wine Fest all of the Epcot area resorts do special parking control where only guests and people with verified reservations at the resort are allowed to park. We had dinner at Yachtsman and waited behind a huge line of cars that kept being sent away from the guard shack :lmao: Then our name wasn't on the approved list :rotfl: luckily I had a print out of our ADR otherwise they wouldn't have let us in.

Park at the Swan/Dolphin and have the restaurant validate your parking ticket. You won't pay the fee that way. Just make sure to check that whichever restaurant you're eating at does this. The more expensive ones definitely do.

Swan/dolphin only validates for parking at il Mulino and shula's. Definitely not garden grove.

Garden Grove - just want to remind people that their buffets do not include beverages. So, add in the parking fee and beverages, and that will put your costs up.

So, for those trying to avoid the parking fee, just go to Garden Grove or the other restaurants when you are at Epcot, or even DHS. While at Epcot, you just walk through the International Gateway in World Showcase, and for the Studios, there is a walkway to the Boardwalk Area, and this will take you right to the Swolphin hotels.

Hope this helps, Tiger

I was just looking through mousesaver.com and came across another coupon code for 80%... BONUS and expires 4/30. :goodvibes

We just ate at Garden Grove for the first time Saturday, using a r.com certificate I bought last year.
Here is my review, which includes a few others:
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2707199

We were very surprised that even with the r.com $25 cert, the bill was just a few cents under $60, with tax and tip.

And for that, they don't validate $12 parking?! crazy!

Update -- Just looked at my receipt. Buffet and two ice teas, including tax and tip was $56.82. (2 adults)

They seem to run the 80% off deal fairly regularly. For my December trip I'm going to wait a while to purchase the certificates in case some of the restaurants stop participating between now and then. But I do think restaurant.com will issue a refund in that case.

Also, be aware of the terms and conditions before purchase. Many have a $$ minimum you must spend before you can use the certificate. Probably won't be an issue at some of the pricey places at Swan and Dolphin.

As a solo diner this is one of the things I don't like about the Restaurants.com certificates. You either have to order two entrees or you must spend at least a certain amount.

This one started on 4/25 after the Easter one expired. It's $2.00 for a $25.00 certificate also and for each certificate you buy you get a chance to win one of 10 Xbox 360s with Kinect (one entry for each certificate up to 10) from April 25th-April 30th. Just put the code: BONUS in the promo box when you check out.

Thank you Mousegear! :thumbsup2 We're now dining at House of Blues and Shulas for the first times this December.

I have posted this question before and have also emailed restaurant.com a couple of times, so please forgive me for asking again, but does anyone have clarification on the one certificate per month condition? I know that you can only use one per month per restaurant, but is that in a calendar month or a 30 day period?

Also, anyone know if I can use a certificate for dinner at the Garden Grove if my party is one adult and one 9 year old? Or is it two adults? Minimum purchase is two entrees. If I have to pay an adult price for a buffet for my 9 year old it is pretty much a break even in cost compared to just dining with her as a child, without the certificate. Just wondering if I should bother to get a certificate for this one. Had the same dilemma last year and eventually cancelled the ressie.

Thanks

I just called and verified with Swan/Dolphin central reservations. I have the same problem since it will be just me and DS 7 going to Garden Grove this Sep. It says min 2 entrees for Garden Grove certificate and dinner only. However, all dinners at Garden Grove are buffet. So the person that I spoke to said that I should be okay to use my cert for Garden Grove, since I am purchasing 2 buffet (1 adult and 1 child).

I am still skeptical about this and I guess I'll verify one more time with hostess before being seated..

I called the number again and this time I asked for direct line with Garden Grove restaurant itself. A hostess received call after much wait and when I asked, she said she'll ask the manager. After another few minute wait, she said that it has to be 2 adult buffet/entree.

So I won't be using Garden Grove cert this Sept. We'll probably do Kimonos and HOB.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it states on the certificate that it is valid only for adult meals.

It does for Shula's, Il Muno's and Blue Zoo's certificates but Garden Grove cert just says two entrees.

I guess we'll just use it when we go back next time or be a fairy and give to a family who goes to Garden Grove while we are at Kimonos. :rotfl2:

Thank you for taking the time to try find out. At the end of the day it really is down to the manager to decide what goes and what doesn't. I just feel they have left a little too much open to interpretation.

As someone has pointed out, some of the restaurants specify that it has to be two adult entrees and I am fine with this as long as I know in advance.

I may still do it as with the non DDP restaurants it is easier to grab and change last minute ressies and we have never eaten at GG before.

2Tiggies....
I just noticed that you'll be at POFQ during our stay at POFQ. :goodvibes
We are going Sept 24~30.

:cool1: In that case, I WILL wear my LGMH - at least around the resort - this time! So if you see lime green, come on over and say hi! :)
