Has anyone used these before? If so, what was the process for using it and where did you use it at?

Restaurant.com certificates are really just a coupon, not a regular gift card.

Each restaurant and each amount have different rules and regulations.

Once you select a restaurant, highlight the circle next to each amount to read what goes along with it. For instance, a $25 cert may say you have to spend $35....but the $100 cert may say you have to spend $200.

Some restaurants only include food, have certain times and/or days that it can be used.

In Orlando, we used a $100 BB King. We had to spend $200. They did allow alcohol to be included. The food was good and it was worth it. I only paid 7.00 for it with a code.

Always look for a code...restaurant.com often puts them on sale. So don't pay the full $10 for a $25 cert if you don't have to!

Where do you find discount codes? Ive signed up for an acct and searched the web but haven't found any discounts I love the idea of saving money on great restaurants.
TIA

Restaurant.com will email codes to you. Sometimes the $25 certificates can be purchased for three or four dollars. They will also send codes to your phone if you sign up for texts. They haven't had many good discounts lately or maybe it is because I haven't purchased many certificates recently.

We used two of them on our last trip. A $25 to Giordanos and a $50 one at House of Blues. The Giorandos one was a hit. We had enough pizza to bring home for a lunch the next day. I felt that HOB was a waste. I was unimpressed with the HOB food and we ended up having to order dessert in order to make our $100 pre-tax minimum. It ended up costing us $70+ in addition to the coupon for 3 with tax and tip. Would have been an OK price for nice food, but not fried chicken and ribs. If you have a bigger family it could be a good value of you bought a bunch of burgers (which looked good) but we knew we had to buy something pricier.

We have also used coupons at Oishi Japanese (good sushi) and at a couple of Swan/Dolphin restaurants when they were participating.

We use the Restaurant.com certificates quite often at home - Does anyone else have suggestions using the in the WDW area?

Just Giordanos now. In the past, we always purchased for bluezoo, Il Mulino and Kimonos...so I am always on the lookout to see if those are available. Melting Pot no longer participates and wouldn't honor the certificate when my daughter attempted to use it last month.

We have used them for House of Blues, Giordano's, Bice at Loews Portofino Bay hotel at Universal and also at Nick's Grill at Marriott's Grande Vista. We bought so many eGift Cards when they had their 90% off sales that we shouldn't have to buy any more any time soon. Just convert the eGift Cards to restaurant specific ones when we need one.

I cross referenced the restaurants offered in the Orlando area with reviews and menus on yelp.com to make my choices. Many restaurants get really bad reviews and others are too expensive even with the coupons or don't offer the kind of food that my DD will eat (she's a vegetarian).

That stinks. I think she can get her $$ back from Restaurant.com for what she paid for the coupon.
