whats the best restaurant for a nice dinner(romantic) at the poly, thanks

I have to admit - though I love the Poly and the two restaurants (and the counter service), none of them are very romantic spots. The food is good at both though.

Here is why I think that. Kona Cafe - very loud; acoustics are sooo bad - you are close to other tables. Lovely dinner - wonderful desserts, but not really romantic! Now we have eaten there four times so you can see that we enjoy it!

'Ohana - again. Food was good, but it is a theme with coconut races and some entertainment (if you can call it that  - ukelele and all!). Anyway -- lots of fun -- again the food was good ... but not romantic.

Counter service is never romantic so I won't address Captain Cooks for that!

Would you consider ROOM SERVICE (if you are staying at the Poly)??? I have looked at the menu and you have the best food from both restaurants available. There is a fee but I don't think that bad.

If that is out of the question, eat at either of the TS in the Poly and then relax on the beach and watch Wishes (bring a sweater - even cuddling can't keep out all the cold!). :thumbsup2 now THAT is definately romantic!

As much as we enjoy the restaurants at the Poly I would have to agree that they aren't exactly romantic. If you are staying at the Poly and want a romantic meal I would jump on the monorail and head over to California Grill. If you are willing to forgo the romantic requirement I would definitely recommend Kona Cafe.

hi we are staying at bwv. thanks for the suggestions, where are the romantic restaurants. we have ate at v&a for our honeymoon, but will be skipping that this trip.thanks

I have to agree 100%. We really enjoy both TS options at the Poly but can't consider either romantic. It is very loud in both and you can end up sitting very close to the table next to you. We have watched wishes from the beach on a hammock and that is by far more romantic than either TS option.

Since you are staying at BWV, I would suggest going to either the Yachtsman Steakhouse or Flying Fish. Both have excellent food and aren't as noisy as many WDW restaurants can be.

Another one who loves the Poly, but wouldn't consider either restaurant romantic. I would defintiely do Kona over Ohana, especailly for just a couple, but it's not your typical romantic restaurant. I actually have dined there a couple times without our kids.

bistro de paris in Epcot - the upstairs french restaurant is great (no ddp though)
