I'm making our ADR for my May trip with friends. It will be their first time to visit and want them to experience all Disney has to offer. We will have the dining plan. Between the three families the kids are 15, 13,12,11,10, and 9 (three girls and three boys) This is what I'm thinking.

Epcot day- Garden Grill (dinner)
MK - CRT (lunch)
HS - Sci-fi or 50's Primetime (early dinner)
AK- Chef Mickey (late dinner)
Epcot/Mk- O'hanas
Everywhere- Crystal Palace (before park opens) or 1900 Park Fare (8am)

Thoughts and recommendations on restaurants for HS and last day would be GREAT!!!
We have been several times and have eaten at numerous restaurants. Thought this would be neutral with great characters and atmosphere.

Will the boys want to eat at CRT? I have 2 boys, 13 & 8, and they have zero interest in eating there. We like LTT for lunch in MK.

CP is one of our favorite breakfasts (the other is TH).

At HS, we like Sci Fi, 50's PTC, and Brown Derby.

Looks like a great choice of restaurants! But I might add 1900 park fare dinner. It is 1 of the funniest character dining experiences that we have been to! It has Cinderella & Prince Charming + the step mom and step sisters and they are soooo funny! We laughed the whole meal. Anyways just something to consider :)

The boys probably will not enjoy the princess that much but..... I think the atmosphere will be impressive.

The only comment I have for first timers is to avoid breakfast as early morning is the best time for the parks.

I know you didn't ask for help on Epcot, but one idea I've seen on here is with a largish group to split up and have everyone get something from a World Showcase country and then share. I think they said they based in America as the meet place.

With kids that age, they might really enjoy pairing up and doing it scavenger hunt style they would feel so grown up to go off by themselves and get to pick out stuff for the group.

Not as much if a sit down experience, but super fun!

In DHS, I would do 50's Primetime. The food at Sci-Fi is terrible and it's not much of a group experience. 50's Primetime will be a blast with a group that big.

On your last day, if you are planning on touring MK, I would do CP. 1900 Park Fare is good, but even the 8 am breakfast will eat into park time. CP would be a really nice way to end your trip.

Another vote for 50's. While Sci Fi is a neat concept, I think that the kids would enjoy the antics at 50's. The food is fantastic here. Our servers have been really good, and it's neat to see the decor that you might have seen in your grandparents place growing up:goodvibes
Crystal Palace is our absolute favourite, especially for breakfast; however, 1900 Park Fare is a hoot for supper (the step sisters and Lady Tremaine steal the show and will make a big fuss over the boys at your table- example 'kiss' the boys and leave bright lipstick marks :rotfl:). But, I think that they are ONLY there for supper? I hope that if I am wrong that someone will correct me. The girls will get to see Cinderella here too.
We have never been to CRT, so I can't comment on it.
Your other choices (Garden Grill and Chef Mickey's) are ones we also enjoy. Good luck and have fun:thumbsup2

Another vote for Prime Time. The kids should love it. I think the seating at Sci Fi would be problematic and we've never cared for the food there.

CP has always been one of our favourite character meals.

Not a fan of CMs for dinner. AT ALL! Horrible food quality IMO, very noisy, dirty, and chaotic. If you are looking for a character meal in the MK resort area, consider doing 1900 Park Fare dinner instead. Or if you want a Mickey character meal, what about Tusker House, since its your AK day?

On AK day, have you considered Tusker House? There were characters when I was there for lunch this summer, and the food is leaps and bounds above the quality of Chef Mickey's IMHO....You will see Mickey at Garden Grille. As for CRT, have you considered Be Our Guest for an early dinner?...better food by most accounts, and a bit less girly. Just trying to look out for the lads:rolleyes1!

You have some pretty good ones...here are my thoughts
50sPTC and Crystal Palace. I think food is better at both of these over the other 2 choices

I knew I could count on my dis family for great advice.

We will do 50's and CP (first thing before the park). I too love 1900 Park Fare for dinner but the two others want to experience the castle dinning so..:confused3. I love the eating around the world showcase!! We can do this for lunch:thumbsup2
Thanks for all the advice!
