Ressies Wait List Magic

My Dad passed away 3 weeks ago after a long illness. My best friend/co-member had only banked 1/2 of our points for our April use year last September. I was concerned that those points were going by-by. She called MS last week and couldn't get anything at WDW, even a hotel for the next 3 weeks. I told her to go with a wait list for any DVC resort so she did. Then after talking for awhile I realized that she hadn't asked about HH. So after another call she was able to get a two bedroom at HH for 5 days with a wait list for 2 additional nights.
Low and behold last night there was a messsage on my home phone about a wait list that had becoma available. When she called this morning we got 7 nights at BWV starting March 9! This is the first time that I had an experience with the wait list for a ressie since we usually book several months in advance. Wow! Yippee!!!! WDW here we come!

We have had waitlist success best a few days before our trip. As long as you are willing to put in the effort to call every day, there is something about 2-3 days before you are due to check in. Not always but we have been successful @ BWV on several occassions. Have a wonderful trip.
