Ressie size takes a hit

OK, now one of my twins might not be going with the whole family in May. I have full head on ressies for every meal for the right amount of people. What should I do about that?

Do I have to make all new ressies which will be one less adult? Some of them are at places I now suspect to be full?

Is there anyway to change the ressie from 7 to 6 without cancelling ?

Can I just eat for 2 pirate:, I know I can drink his share!

What's the easiest way to do this?

Just show up with one less person, not a big deal. If it was half your group, I might say try to call and get them changed but one person is probably not going to make a difference in the table size so I would just leave them be. Just tell them when you show up that one isn't going to be there.

I was wondering about this. I wish there was a way in the system that it would just adjust your party size down one if when you unlink someone from your MDE. I mean you painstakingly have to enter each and every person on each and every reservation....

Wish the Scupper would show up, cause I would like to get his input as one of the places we have ressies is Hoop de doo...

Don't mess with your ADRs, just show up short one and tell them at the podium one had to cancel their trip.
There is no penalty since the rest of you showed up.
Happens all the time.

You don't have to do that. I never enter the additional names.

Guess I never really thought of that. It's just that the whole party are "friends" and they are listed in drop down boxes so I just move down the list.

Great. That is what I will do. Hoop de doo is a little different although with the deluxe dining, I did not have to prepay.

That's good to know! I originally planned on making dinner reservations for 4, but one person is unsure if they are coming or not. Now I can make them for 4 and not worry if one decides not to come. :)

You can change your party number on ADRs very easily using the MDE website. You just click on modify and change the number of guests. I have done it for multiple ADRs for our March trip when I got our party confirmed to be 6 instead of 7, including Ohana. Adding is a different story and need open availability for your party size...

I'm trying to get everyone to confirm by April when I make reservations, so we've got time. Definitely 3, could be up to 5, so I'd rather get confirmations of yes/no instead of having to change from 5 to 3 - that could mean a different table size.

So many glitches with the Disney website, I'm not there yet where I would trust there not to be a blip and me lose my whole reservation. As long as I can just show up short a guest or two, I'm not touching my reservation. I personally think they overbook anyway to allow for no shows.

Where is there a modify? Looked all over. All I get is a change or cancel and the change looks for another ressie. Would love a modify choice.

There is no problem with showing up with one less - in fact solo travelers have to do this at least for 'Ohana because it will not let you book for 1.

I guess the "no problem" exception *might* be CRT - they may not refund the payment for that person, but I'm not sure.

Like Hopper said above, I wouldn't trust a modification to not lose my reservation completely, with how glitchy the website is. I'd leave it as is. The only one I would worry about would be anything you had to pre-pay - for that I'd call and make the change to get the refund squared away.
