Sorry if this is in the wrong place - I'm still getting used to where I'm supposed to go to find info . . .

Now - having said that - if (when - thinking positively here) we own at SSR, can we make ressies at SSR at the 11 month window and then switch to OKW at the 7 month window?

If so, if the SSR ressies were more points than OKW when we change, do we lose those points or do they go back into our "pool" so-to-speak for us to use later or bank?

Those excess points would go back into your use year to be banked or used before the banking or use deadlines.

Technically speaking, there is a chance that you might lose some points if 1) you've past all your banking windows and 2) you're so far into your UY that you don't have any more trips planned. And even then, you still have renting as your last option but do make sure you will be safe with all your points.

Great point - we will have a June use year and plan to travel in June so if we have points revert back into the use year, we'll still have until Nov 30 (I believe) to bank any unused points. November is always our alternative travel time anyway so sounds like we may even have a little time to either travel or bank on what's left.

November would be the banking deadline to bank 100% of your points. I am assuming here (I don't remember the points charts off my head) that we are not talking about a significantly large number of points...maybe 20 or so. You have until the end of Feb to bank 25% of your total points owned. So, depending on how many "unused" points you have after your June vacation, you might still be able to bank the excess until as late as Feb 28th.

I don't think, if you call right at the 7 month window, that you will have much problem switching from SSR to OKW.
