We have changed the first four days of our trip to VWL at the seven month window :) Calling at the weekend to change a couple of day's to BCV too :teeth:

I am so happy now we have it confirmed. Really looking forward to staying at the Lodge now :)

:Pinkbounc I hope you love the Lodge as much as we do (although we hardly ever seem to stay there! LOL  )

We'll be there in a weeks time :teeth:

We stayed there two years ago and loved it

Well done Kaylee :D

The lodge and villas are such a beautiful and tranquil place that even when we're not staying there we always pay them a visit.

Kaylee,

We had a studio for 2 weeks at VWL - room number 4533 - no balcony (it's a 'lock-off'), but didn't miss it. Last year we stopped in the studio next door 4531, which did have a balcony. The resort is still as good as ever, it's very quiet arround the Villas and sitting in the main lobby of the hotel is very relaxing - even with the noise coming from Whispering Canyon (watch/listen for all the men in the restaurant taking part in the 'Buttercup Dance'). It's a long walk from the Villas to the Roaring Forks for the coffee in the morning - we bought the refillable mugs, which now do say 'for the length of your trip'. We went to MNSSHP and had a great time dressed as pirates and collected lots of sweets (or is it candy?) at the trick or treat stations. We also ate round the World at the Epcot Food & Wine festival, we tried most of the samples and for two days lunch took 2 hours as we walked from location to location.

The highlight of the trip was finding myself in the 'Hot Seat' at WMTBAM Play it at MGM. The fastest finger question was to put the 'Brady Kids' in order of age, I just pressed all the buttons as fast as I could and got it right! I was very nervous for the 1st and 2nd questions, just hoping not to make a fool out of myself. But I got the first five questions right to win the Baseball hat and 5 pins. I then managed to answer the next five questions, using the ask the audience lifeline and I won a polo shirt and another 5 pins. Now I was at 32,000 points and used both remaining lifelines to answer the 64,000 point question - which US state has 'Eureka' as it's motto?. I also managed to answer both the 125,000 and 250,000 point questions, one was the atomic number of Cadmium and I think the other was the worlds largest selling computer game. I couldn't tell you what the 500,000 point question was, but I had a complete guess and got it right! Now I found myself being asked the 1,000,000 point question, with a leather jacket and 3 day Disney Cruise as the prize for getting it right. At this point I started to get nervous again - but hoping for a sports question - hopefully Football (Soccer). The question was - Who invented the 'Band-Aid' whilst working for Johnson & Johnson? My first thought was Bob Geldof when she started to read the question :teeth: but when she got to the end I had a guess at answer B - unfortunatley the answer was D (Earl somebody) and I didn't win the jacket and cruise and lost 4 pins. After going 'behind the scenes' to collect the prizes Judith and I found ourselves sitting outside thinking - 'did that really just happen?'. It is the most surreal thing that has ever happened to me/us. For the rest of the holiday I kept wondering whether I'd dreamt it all, but the hat/pins/shirt prove that it really did happen.

Sorry this has turned into a bit of a trip report - you might want to copy/move it to the report board.

Ian

Thank you so much for coming back and telling me all about it :)

You lucky thing in the hot seat eh? :teeth: You did ever so well.

How about adding in a bit more about your trip and copy this in to a post on the trip report board I am sure others would love to read all about it :)
