Response from Memolink on reward

Sent Memolink a request for a status update on my 3/12/01 reward redemption - understood that they were working for a no longer than 16 week turnaround - which is still way too long in my opinion.

The reply they sent is unbelievable:

Thank you for your e-mail. I can assure you we are trying to fill as many orders as possible at this time. The going has been slower than expected and we are doing all that we can to get your gift certificate orders filled. We totally appreciate your patience with us in this matter, as we know many of you have been waiting longer than the timeframe that was initially promised to you upon redemption. Your March prize order is scheduled to be filled by October 15th, 2001. I really apologize for the delay and long waiting period.

We really appreciate your patience with this matter as well as your involvement with the Memolink website. If we can be of any help in the future, please don't hesitate to e-mail us.



Redeem in March for an OCTOBER filling?????? Geez - good thing I wasn't counting on it too much for our July vacation!!!

Well I guess I won't even look for my April cashout until Christmas. They really need to get their act together.

I wrote them today stating that my GC from January stated that it was filled on 7/20
(which happens to be the date the CEO said in his letter to all it would be filled by).
They responded that it takes about 2 weeks after the fill date. It's close to a month and
nothing!!!!

I waited 6 months for a redemption but they did pay out. Give them a chance... I'm sure you'll get it....

I traded in points in Jan. '01 for a Target gc. On 7/20 my account status said the order had been filled. The actual gift certificate didn't showed up in the mail until last week, 3 weeks later.

But it did come and that is what counts!

In the meantime I earned, ordered and received another gc through memolink and should be able to cash out again in a week or so. Because of the long delays and problems with them and other sites going out of business, I cash out at the earliest possible level. I know it is not as cost effective but if a site goes under with out warning, I have less of a loss.
