Response by DVC on 2010 point chart email

Get this. In their response, by email, to my rant about the new 2010 point charts, DVD kindly gave me their recommended timeshare broker and a note that they(DVD) would get a referral fee from GMAC should I choose to sell through them.

I agree. I don't know what DVC could have done different, but it sure seems that they didn't go the extra mile for their members. Nothing new I guess.

I guess we now know why DVC recommends GMAC. They get a cut. It all comes down to money, doesn't it?

I guess I'm just amused by the uproar over this. Where was anyone promised that they would not make such changes? If you didn't like DVC having the ability to do this, why the heck did you buy-in in the first place?

I'm pretty sure that they included the note not as an incentive for you to use GMAC but as a disclosure so that you could not later claim that they hid their own benefit derived from the recommendation.

I'm sure the disclosure about the referral fee is a legal requirement.

And the type of response you received is likely dependent upon the content of the email you sent, if you truly sent, in your own words, a rant.

Please remember that we are limiting all discussion of the 2010 point re-allocation to this thread.
