I am sure that there is some convenient place to find this information. But, so far I can't find it. Is there a list somewhere that shows what resorts can hold 5 people? I know that AllStars can't, but can some of the moderates or do I have to go deluxe?
Thank you for your help.

The only moderate that will hold 5 people is the Alligator Bayou section of Port Orleans Riverside. Some of the rooms have a trundle bed that slides out from beneath the queen bed. From what I hear it will only be comfortable for a smaller child as it is pretty small. Check out ***********.com for pics of the resort. I know there's a pic of the trundle bed in there. Your other options are the deluxes or one of the vacation club resorts. Look at wdwig.com for tons of info about all the resorts.

In the deluxe range, AKL and WL can accommodate only 4. And, as has been mentioned, only one section of the POR can accommodate 5 and one of those five has to be little.

Hey there, just wanted to let you know that "little" doesn't mean that a fairly big for his age 8 year old won't be fine in a trundle. We did this last year at POR and my three kids all fought over who'd get this. It's fine for a child up to age 10, I would say, unless they are really, really huge. A teenager would be too big.

If you don't want to do POR, then try two cheaper All star rooms adjoining, or maybe a cabin at Fort Wilderness.

Good luck to you!

BTW, we LOVED POR with our three kids! It's a great choice!!! This year we're going to the Poly with five of us, and you might want to check out the Winter Dream Maker package. It greatly reduces the rate. Think about driving instead of flying, if possible, and save yourself another $1000 at least.

We stayed in a junior suite, Wilderness Lodge in April. Two queen beds in one room, pull out sofa in another. Used AAA discount.

I ditto the 2 adjoining rooms at All Star idea. We are a family of 5 also and have done this a few times when our children outgrew the trundle bed at PO. What we really liked about the two rooms was having 2 bathrooms which you won't get at the homes in FW. Also having that extra room just gives you more space to spread out and relax more when you hop back to your resort for a rest. The Disney Vacation Club villas are also great for the space. We are members now and love them!:earsboy:

Most rooms have 2 queens beds and a daybed. The daybed sounds better than a trundle since it can double as seating during the day.

BC and YC also have sleeping fo r5. My youngest was 12 and he was fine on the day bed that they have in the rooms.

I personally have never gone with a group of 5 or 6 but I have always thought it odd that Disney does not provide alot of accomodations for larger families outside of DVC places. With so many young children visiting, it seem like 2 bedroom suites would sell like crazy! When I went to the All Stars last year with my parents, we were planning on doing the 2 adjoining rooms thing. They said they only had a few of these and they were already all booked. We got 2 rooms side by side. Worked great for us, but had I been a couple of young children, my parents would probably not be so happy about this.

Our last trip we stayed at POR and both our daughters loved sleeping in the trundle bed. They were 11 & 12. Both short for their ages but average size other than being short. This trip our choices would have been 2 rooms at a moderate, offsite, or what we did - a deluxe. We lucked out in getting the FTP otherwise we may have stayed offsite in a suite type room.

Thank you so much for all your help. We are driving and not flying. My 4 yr old daughter would use the trundle at POR. Sounds like that would work fine. Hopefully we can swing this trip in the late spring early summer. Thanks for answering my questions!!
