Hi Everyone:
Tons of questions from me this week as I plan!

My question is this...
If we decided to split our stay between 2 resorts at WDW.
How would we go about dining plan with 2 resorts?
Would we be able to do this?

What about if we stayed at the GF for a few nights then rented points for a DVC...how would I do it then?

Sorry I'm making it difficult...I need some experienced mouselovers here!

You would have to make 2 reservations

If your first resort of choice is GF, you could make a reservation either with Disney Directly or if you want to get a discount, make a reservation via AAA. To add on the dining plan, you would have to buy at the very least a 1 day base ticket. This can all be done with AAA and it gives you a discount on the "room" portion of your package

Re: DVC for your second half of your trip.
Once you have determined which DVC resort to stay at, you will have to check the number of points required to "book" the room.

There is a DVC area on the DIS boards where people have points to rent.

Once you have made a contract with the person renting the points and a reservation made, you can call member services at DVC and let them know the dates you will be there, and request that the dining plan be added (no ticket purchase required for this) You would have to pay for the dining plan at check-in at the DVC resort (this is available after April 1,2006)

You can also request the DME for transportation to GF and from the DVC resort to the airport for your departure

Yes you would get a need meal card at each resort. It'll be on the KTTW room keys. Also for the package portion of your trip at GF, you should get your park tickets for your entire stay.
