For those of you that have stayed at most of the resorts here at Disneyworld can you please let me know which resort you felt has had the least DVC members and more nonmembers. Is there a resort dedicated to just DVC members or do all DVC resorts allow nonmember guests?

The problem is the nonmembers dress up like people on vacation in attempts to trick us.

How do you know :confused3

I guess I'd say:
- BLT
- VWL
- AKV
- BCV
- BWV

Close to that order. BLT shares everything (everything) with the CR, so you're always mingling with hotel guests. Same with VWL.

AKV, you can stay confined within Kidani and ignore Jambo, but if at Jambo most are hotel guests and non-members. BCV and BWV also share with the hotel, though BCV has the Beach Club and Yacht Club hotel to share with versus just the Boardwalk Inn.

But seriously, how would you know? Highest percentage who are renting points and staying as a DVC person though non-DVC? I'd guess OKW and SSR just due to the number of owners at thsoe resorts and the number who buy resale at thsoe resorts knowing that's not their preferred place to stay but offerred the best deal.

*DVC owns some points at all the resorts (that are unsold, foreclosed on, ROFRed or whatever) - they can book villas with these pts and rent them to nonmembers.

*when DVC owners trade out for cruises or stays at the GF or something, the traded pts are used to book villas that are rented out through CRO, often to nonmembers.

*when DVC owners have extra pts, they can rent reservations made with those pts...and they often rent to nonmembers.

To answer the OP's question.....all DVC resorts have some non-member guests, for the reasons I posted on your other thread. There are no member-only resorts. As to which resort has the fewest non-members staying....it probably changes every day.

What's more, all Disney resorts, including the DVC resorts, are open to the public. So at any given time, there are plenty of people who are not registered guests of the resort on the grounds, dining, shopping, using recreational facilities or just looking around.

. . . .

Except BLT, which has locked doors. ;) But then there all those nonmembers staying there too.

Gee whiz, the DVC is not a country club, it's only a timeshare.

I apoligize for this question since some of feel I should know this already but I am new to owning a DVC membership and felt I had a legitimate question. Thank you to those who took it seriously.

This thread is closed. Differentiating between DVC points guests (owners), DVC Renters, and cash guests really isn't an appropriate topic. We (members and non-members) are all Disney resort guests. The biggest difference is that members have prepaid. Per room night, Disney cash guests usually pay substantially more, unless they received a very discounted rate or upgrade.

It is unlikely that a vacationing member would be able to tell the difference between a fellow member or non-member, nor should it have any effect upon their use or enjoyment of the resort.
