Are the resort washing machines "HE" - high efficienty ?
OR
Are the resort washing machines the standard USA kind ?

We have a "HE" washing machine at home.

If we bring our own laundry detergent to WDW - I would like to know what kind to bring.

Thank you to all who know.

Specifically - we would like to know about POFQ's & Dolphin washing machines - but I assume they are all the same type at WDW.

You can use HE detergent in a non -HE machine so I would just bring it.

I have seen HE and non-HE at different resorts.

I don't think they were HE at CR. I followed the advice here and brought the Purex sheets-very easy to pack.

I am bringing the Purex 3 in 1 sheets that have the detergent, fabric softener and dryer sheet in one.

This is the second time I will be traveling with my high school daughter's basketball team and we found the Purex 3 in 1 sheets to work great. They are easy to pack, don't spill and easy to use. I just put the sheets in a ziplock bag. Since her team plays 3 games at ESPN's Wide World of Sports, and 20 girls are going, we do multiple loads in the All Star Music machines.

We have stayed at all Mods, all of the All Stars, and Pop. I do not recall seeing any HE machines.

But - as a previous poster (dzorn) said - you can use HE detergent in a non-HE machine.

According to the FABULOUS Yacht and Beach club FAQ:

QUOTE: "Self-service laundry rooms are located near the BC quiet pool and near the YC quiet pool. Another small laundry room may be found on the first floor of the YC, near the side exit (wedding gazebo side).

Washers are front loaders. According to repairmen working on disabled washers, HE (High Efficiency) detergent should be used in the machines. Regular laundry detergent is available for purchase in the laundry room ($1) or at the Beach Club Marketplace ($2). Don't forget to pack a few dryer sheets.

Both washers and dryers cost $2.00. Washers run for about 30 minutes. The sign in the laundry room says the dryers run for 20. Users have reported the dryers run for up to 30 minutes on regular and permanent press cycles."

So there ya go....

Music had 1 front loader last month- but it was out of order both times I did laundry--- I HATE the dryers, they take FOREVER!
