Does anyone have any comments regarding BWV or VWL for a family including 4 yr old twins? We own at BWV but were wondering if we would be better off closer to Magic Kingdom given there ages? Any comments

We vacationed with my nephew and niece (twins) when they were 4 and stayed at WL (right next to VWL). We did really appreciate the proximity to MK. At that age, they considered the boat ride to MK as an attraction. They LOVED it. The main theme pool was lots of fun for them as the slide isn't too long or wild. Also, with that age kids it is very fun to go to the Whispering Canyon Cafe for some whoopin' hollerin' fun. They were also fascinated with the creek that wanders through the main Lobby of WL and meanders down to the pool.

Good luck deciding.

If you know the majority of your trip is going to be at the MK - go with VWL - the bus tranportation from BWV to MK was some of the worst - all the epcot resorts were on the same bus - and since BWV was last - we had to stand.

Now however if most of your time will be spend at Studios then go with BWV.

If you go with VWL ride the boat to the Contemporary, then ride the monrail to the T/T, change monrails, then ride the monrail to Epcot - kids really seem to want to do this again and again - they really like the monrail ride more than going to the parks. Of course if you want to do this parks - this could be a problem.

We also just got back from WL with our children who are 2 and 3. A monorail resort would have been even better, but my hubby wanted the WL (this was pre DVC for us).

WL worked VERY well for kids this age. They loved the boat ride. We spent lots of time in the MK - almost none at MGM or Epcot (over 7 days), so this was definately the right choice for us.

WL is a great place for families with young kids. I understand the snack bar is about as good as it gets in a deluxe hotel, and the Cafe is great for little kids - the waiters are making so much hoop-de-doo, no one is noticing your 3 year old isn't using his "inside voice"

We bought our contract at BWV - because I think the BWVs will be better for our family in the future. But I wouldn't be surprised if we tried to get into the VWL for our next trip (planning on going when the kids are 4 and 5)

VWL is *fabulous* for children their age (and younger)! Our 19 month old (at the time) LOVED the lobby, and the spring leading down to the pool. And Whispering Canyon Cafe is some of THE most fun we've ever had at Disney World. I say go for it!

We always stay at Boardwalk. I have a 5 yr old and now a 16 month old. The great thing we like about Boardwalk is that technically we only have to folder the stroller once to get one of the 4 main parks and that is AK. We can take the boat/walk to MGM and Epcot. For MK, we walk through Epcot and take the monorail. That is fun in itself for our dd. We don't mind the walking as long as the kids are in their strollers. You also have the boardwalk right at your feet and a great pool. Oh, by the way, we go to MK everyday! It is manditory for us. Must ride Dumbo you know :p
