Resort upgrade question...

Ok, we leave for our land and sea honeymoon in just 15 days. Our trip is paid in full and we have already recieved our docs... My question: Is it possible to call and 'upgrade' our resort room? We're staying at the POLY resort in a standard room, which I'm guessing is a garden view... since it's our honeymoon I'd really like to have a nice lagoon view room, maybe with the veiw of the castle and a balcony (because I know some of the second floor rooms don't have balconies). Would I be able to call and change to a lagoon view room, and if so how much extra would that cost? If not, would I be able to call and request that we get a room with a balcony?

I doubt they would do anything for you over the phone unless you paid to upgrade to a lagoon view.

I would ask upon check in and make it known that it is your honeymoon and a lagoon view would be soooo romantic, etc. kindly ask if they have any comp upgrades....I have found the check in CM's to be very accomodating most of the time. It is very easy to brush someone off over the phone but face to face sometimes works very well.

Good luck. The Poly holds special memories for hubby and I as we honeymooned there in September of 1979!! I hate to tell you that we only paid a $65.00 per night for a Lagoon view room back then!!! I still have the receipt.
