Resort tranfers for baggage

What is the best way to get baggage from AKL to BLT? We decided to Fly down instead of make the 14-16 hour drive so we are coming down a day early. I couldn't get another day at BLT so we have one night at AKL then move to BLT but I am not sure the best/safest way to have our stuff moved.

Bell services can move it for you. They will pick things up at your AKV room and take them to BLT that afternoon. IIRC, they can tell you approximately when your luggage will arrive. When you check into your room at BLT, you will need to be in the room to receive the luggage.

Alternatively, you could get a cab and move everything yourself, but you still may need to check it, as your room may not be ready when you get there.

Hey there fellow Delawarean! We've done the resort transfer many times. Bell services can either pick your luggage up in your room or you can take it down to them. They'll give you a ticket and take care of the rest. We've always been told not to expect our bags at the new resort until after 3pm. You will need to be in your room for delivery. It's always been a painless process for us.

We do split stays all the time. It is really simple to do but be aware it can take up to 4 hrs to get your luggage.

We learned this on our trip this summer. My kids really wanted to go swimming and for some reason they were behind sending the luggage over from the other resort. Took a good 6 hrs so lesson learned... I will make sure I take our swimwear with us before handing over our bags.
