resort storing groceries?

I read somewhere that a resort will store your grocery food for you, if neeeded...is this correct? How long will they hold it for you if you're checking in but your room isn't ready. And will they frozen/fridge food or just non-perishables?

If you are checking into a DVC aka 'Home Away from Home' resort, I know they can and will do this for you. Both frig/freezer items and other. Simply check your stuff with bell services when you do your bags -- only have seperate bags for frig/freezer/other made up, so bell services can tag your stuff and store it properly. No problem.

We switched rooms at the Boardwalk villas last week (June 10th to be exact) as we didn't like the first room, and they were booked up. We packed up in the morning and the bellman took all our stuff and stored it till that evening. I packed up the groceries into separate bags of what was needing to be frozen (ice cream, etc...) and refrigerated. They have a large facility for that and it worked out well. If I had known we were going to move, I would have waited to grocery shop! But they were helpful there - I don't know if it's because it was a villa but I'd imagine at a regular resort you won't have so much food to stay cool anyway - I bet they would store it fine.

The BC & the GF stored our perishables for us when we were waiting for rooms. We had to have meds stored in their fridge & the milk was used to take the meds with. I assume if they could do it for us, they could probably store a small amoutn of perishables for others too.
