Random question for you all.

My DH is under the impression that if you make your deposit on, say your bank debit card, all future payments MUST come from that account. That you may not use any other credit card to pay on the balance.
Anybody know if this is true? If it is....any idea why????? That just doesnt make sense to me if true....I mean...money is money! lol....

Also, another random question while on the topic of payments.... say your "due date" to pay in full is Feb 20th. Does something happen if you dont get it paid off in full by then? Do they cancel your rez? Charge a fee? Just curious how "serious" Disney can get lol!

the first part is not true. payments can come from different sources.

the second part is for packages, your balance is due 45 days before check-in. if you don't? you risk losing your package. it's pretty simple.

They actually do not cancel your ressie at 45 days. I know this because we were going to be at the state park (no phone service) when my check hit the bank to pay off our balance. So I called to see what my options were. Several CM's told me the magic number is not 45 it is 30. At 45 you get a letter in the mail stating that you are overdue and the balance in full needs to be paid immediatly. On day 30 from what I understand your ressie will be cancelled.

We used 2 different checks and one credit card to pay the balance on our vacation! the CM sounded like she thought we were nutz! but when I commented, you must think im nutz paying in 3 different methods, she said not at all, I actually had someone pay with 6 once!1 she said what ever gets it done is fine with them!!
They really dont care as long as they get their money!! but like PP say the balance is due 45days before you check in, although ive heard of some people who pay upto a certain amout at the 45 day mark and pay a remainder amount at check in. Im not sure how this works though! HTH
