I booked a trip for next fall. Trying to modify on my Disney experience but it’s not working even though I have a modify button. Part of my deposit was paid with a rewards redemption card and part with credit card. If I cancel reservation and rebook my new dates will the money on my reception card go back to the card right away? in case it matters I booked a vacation package.

Thank you for your help

If you get an error screen or unable to change at this time, try logging out, quitting the browser and then going back in and log in again, then try. My modifications never work unless I have recently logged out and logged back in.

I cancelled a reservation that was booked with a Disney gift card and a credit card. The Disney gift card was refunded almost immediately. The credit card refund was also immediate, but it took a few days for the refund to show up in my credit card account. I would guess that the rewards card would be similar to the gift card.

You may want to call in to modify to avoid the hassle of a cancellation, re-book, especially if you need to use the funds you have already paid toward the new/modified reservation. As PPs noted, it may take some time for those refunds to show up on your cards.

If you're talking about a Chase Disney redemption card, this is the link:

https://www.chase.com/personal/cred...Chase reserve the,be discontinued at any time.

Scroll to the bottom for refund info.

Personally, I'd call Chase and ask specifically about cancelled reservations. The only thing about refunds I could see was obviously for returning merch with a receipt. And it seems that it may differ if you have the 'regular' Disney Chase or the 'premier'.

I wouldn't do anything until I was 100% clear on the refund on a cancelled ressie.

BTW, if you do clarify it, would you mind posting your experience. I've never used a card for a reservation but it would still be good info.

Before I did anything I'd call Chase first and see what they say.
