Resort Requests

Hi All,

I have some questions to ask and would appreciate any advice you could give on the subject. We will be visiting DW in August and will be staying at ASSp Resort. We have stayed there many times and enjoy it but this year as kind of a change of scenery we would like to stay at ASMov, when we made our online reservation apparentely ASMov was not avaiable for all the days we would be staying. The question I have is, how much luck would I have contacting Disney Reservations and requesting that if a room becomes available for those days at ASMov we would like our reservation to be transferred to that resort ?

We have tried this before and we have never ended up having anyone call us back regarding our request. I have always had to keep calling them to find out if a room has become available. I don't mind doing this a few times but constantly calling Disney reservations can become costly for someone who lives out of the state of FL. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think Disney is equipped to handle requests like that, otherwise, they'd be flooded with requests from guests to monitor their reservation for this or that change.

The best way to do this would be to book your trip via a travel agent who could then monitor your reservation and availability for you and make the appropriate change, if it became available. The only other alternative is to call Disney repeatedly.

I'll second Eeyore. Maybe try handing off your ressie to DU and see if they can change it.

You could also try to see if there's availability via disney.com.

Remember, there may be a charge for changing your ressie less than 45 days out.

Hi All,


Thanks you guys for your advice. I decided to call reservatons on the off chance they might have an opening and just by luck they did have availability. Now if I could just convince DH to fly or take the auto train instead of driving for 18 or 19 hours ;-).
