Resort Requests

What is the best way to make a resort request? Phone, email, fax?

I want to request a specific building (or section of the resort) at SSR.

There is no way to make any room requests via email unless you are staying Club Level. I have always found the best way to make a room request is to call and have any requests added to your reservation. You can make requests via online check in, but those options are predetermined and limited. Mostly they don't cover what we like to request. You can call and make room requests any time from the day you book up until 4-5 days out. Some people have had luck with faxing requests. However, there are conflicting reports on whether resorts actually read the faxes. The 2 resorts I know for a fact do read faxes are POR and POFQ.

Now I see you are staying at SSR. My statements above are only true if you are paying cash for your stay at SSR. If you're renting points, the owner of the points will have to make any requests for you through member services. If you are using your own points, you will have to make any requests via member services.

At POR a fax directly to the resort worked well for us. There are instructions at portorleans.org.

I have always called them. Out of 4 trips with requests (2 times for adjoining rooms, 1 time for a pool view, and 1 time for a 1st floor room), we have always gotten our requests. Not saying that it happens all the time, but I'm just saying that we have had good luck by calling.

According to your ticker it looks like you'll be there in 5 days so I would call ASAP because rooms are assigned 4 or 5 days in advance of arrival date.
