After struggling through the economy, things are finally getting better with my family, and I am looking to plan our first vacation in 3 years. We will be going around Oct 2011. (Yes... I'm an obsessive planner!) We are going to do the Orlando flex tickets, and visiting Sea World and Aquatica, Universal and Islands of Adventure most of the week. What resorts are close to that area? I want a 2 bedroom with at least an efficiency kitchen. My kids would like an awesome pool with maybe a lazy river or waterslide. Please post pics if you have them... especially the pool areas!

I like the look of Bonnet Creek and Harbour Lake from what I can find so far. But I am not sure where to look as we have always stayed on property in WDW until now. Also, are these booked through my TA, straight through the resort, or directly from an owner?

Those are a little far from Universal. Bonnet Creek is smack dab in the middle of Disney. Have you looked at the Hilton Grand Vacations at SeaWorld?

No, I haven't. I will check into those now. I am just getting started planning, and am finding it difficult to find resorts online. Planning this trip is going to be more difficult than my WDW trips I'm afraid. :sad2:

Thanks!

Hi!

I am planning a trip too and I wanted to recommend vrbo.com and homeaway.com. Allot of the condos will tell you in the description exactly how far away they are from attractions as well as including pictures of their pool areas and everything else. Plus, if you book early sometimes they will give a really good discount.:thumbsup2 They really are a reliable service to choose from. Plus you usually have to just put a deposit down and then pay the rest 30 days before arrival.

Congratulations on your family vacation! ;) I hope you have a great time. And do not feel bad for planning early (I have been semi planning for a year now and cannot wait for my vacation to begin. I am blogging as I learn about everything in my blog too! =)

Have a great night!
