Resort QS on DHS day?

We have planned Sci-Fi for an early lunch on our day at DHS (Feb 2-I'm a planner). I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a resort QS near DHS that we can go for dinner if we are ready to leave the park at dinner time. I know this might take some travel time, but we just wanted to try something different and figured we might be able to check out another resort for the future. BTW, we are staying at POP, are on the DDP, and do not have park hoppers. Thanks for any help!

I'm racking ny brain trying to think of CS in the Boardwalk area.

Beaches and Cream at the BC
Pizza window and hot dogs and such at the Boardwalk
There's buffeteria at the Dolphin

That's all that I can think of. I don't know whether Beaches and Cream is considered CS.

Thanks for the help. I think Beaches and Cream is TS? I was having a hard time finding a place so of course I thought the DISers would know!

Does the Marketplace inside BC offer anything at dinner? I've stayed there many times but am never back at the resort at that time. I know they have breakfast and lunch, but it's likely limited options.

Picabu in the Dolphin is a decent Buffeteria but it's not on the plan.

If you're not in a rush, you could hop on a bus at DHS for one of the monorail resorts and check out the QS options there, then just grab a bus back to POP from the TTC. I like Captain Cooks at the Poly; some think it's limited, but I found the quality a little bit better there. My kids like the QS at CR but I've never tried it.

I have been looking into this too and saw that Boardwalk Bakery has sandwiches and Paninis. I was planning to do this thinking that I would also get a pastry for dessert with my cs credit.

I will look into the Marketplace. Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will be looking up the menus. I'm not very familiar with the resorts near DHS so I thought we could try something different. Doesn't seem to be much QS that sounds good or different. I would love to head to the Poly...never even thought about it! And, it shouldn't be too bad to get back to POP from TTC or even MK. I'm sure the kids wouldn't mind riding the monorail or boat over to MK.

Yes Beaches and Cream is a TS. I was going to say POP but you since you are staying there you probably want to try something different. Coronada Springs Resort isn't far from DHS, Pepper Market is a pretty good deal on the dining plan but pricey if you're not.

I thought about the Pepper Market. I am just worried about transportation to get from CSR back to POP. I will have to pay for a cab or take a bus from CSR to DTD. Then a bus from DTD to POP, right?

The Pepper Mart in my opinion isn't all that good. We went 2 years ago the burgers & Toco's were great. Last year they were both terrible.

I stay in DHS and eat at the Back Lot Express or Pizza Planet.

This is what makes the proposition so dicey. Sooo...if you want to check out Boardwalk I guess you could do Boardwalk Bakery for a sandwich. To get back to POP you could go back over to DHS (walk or boat), assuming you won't be doing this after park closing. (You can also walk to Epcot from there, but seeing as you don't have park hoppers, I don't think these options which take you to the International Gateway will help.)

The other option would be to do something closer to MK, one of the monorail resorts. Contempo, Captain Cook's, whatever. Fairly easy to get back from there. You can walk from the Contemporary to where the MK buses to resorts leave from fairly easily, or take the monorail.

Probably easier to look at a resort on a day when you would go back to a park, though, like at lunch time, although that takes a lot of time away from the park. Or just skip that resort idea altogether and go to DTD. You wouldn't see another resort, but you'd get a good CS meal, and the transport back would be easy (if possibly long).

Thanks for all the help! I guess I will have a list of places that sound the best and if we happen to be done at DHS at dinner time, we will head out to try something different. Or we may end up back at POP  We are hoping that going in Jan/Feb it won't be hot, so the kids may last in the parks longer. But, just in case we made some ADRs for lunch and figured we would do QS for dinner. Thanks again everyone!

Why not do QS for lunch at DHS and then do a TS at Beach Club, Yacht Club or on the Boardwalk?

My kids and DH really wanted to try Sci-Fi. We really won't know how long we will be in the parks either so we did a mixture of breakfast, lunch, and dinner ADRs. But, thanks for the suggestions!

QS is not that good at DHS anyway, from what I can tell, somewhat worse than everywhere else. ;)

This is what I've heard. It's okay, but nothing special. That's why we were thinking we could go to a nearby resort to look around and try something different. But, it doesn't seem like there are many options.

This thread has a list of all the CS in the Epcot resorts.

If you are on the dining plan, your choices are limited. Note that the Boardwalk Pizza Window and the fast food kiosks on the Boardwalk do not accept the dining plan.

For those not on the dining plan, try Picabu at the Dolphin. Discounts are available for DVC and AAA members.
