resort pools

hello,

just a question about the pools.. for our first stay inside the world, we stayed at the animal kingdom lodge last sept.. we were very shocked to find out the the pool was opened 24/7. are all the resort pools opened 24/7?? we are staying at ssr and bcv this coming oct for our first trip as owners of dvc and were just wondering if we would be able to take a late night dip there also?

Pools are open from 10 am to 10 pm at OKW, I don't know what the hours are at other DVC resorts. DVC resorts with life guards may have shorter hours.

Ii'm pretty sure that SAB is opened 9AM to 10PM. Had the place nearly to ourselves on Monday 9 to 10AM before checkout.

I think all the quiet pools at bc/yc/bcv (so that would include the one at BCV) are open 24/7 - ask at the front desk.

My experience at BWV is that the pools do have hours - not sure what they are - a 10pm close sounds familar. The lifeguards aren't around that long, though.

That said, unless you are noisy or otherwise disturbing other guests, the CMs/security will allow you to use the pools/hot tubs pretty much 24/7. One complaint call to the front desk usually results in "ejection". If that isn't / wasn't your experience at the AKL, I would be surprised. If it happened to me (late night pool noise with no response from the front desk), I would certainly complain to the resort manager and follow up with a letter. JMHO. YMMV.
