Resort payment- gift cards after cc payment?

I have an upcoming resort stay, and paid off my balance using my credit card last month. Since that time, my very generous sister has given me some Disney gift cards, which I would like to use for my resort stay instead of my credit card. Do you know if it's possible to have these gift cards applied to my resort stay and have the corresponding amount refunded back to my credit card? Thanks!

I don't believe that is an option, without canceling and rebooking using the gift cards. You can always call . . .

Can you use the gift cards when you are there to pay for meals and souvenirs? Put down a credit card at check in so you can charge back to the room, then go to the front desk the night before you leave to pay off the charges with the gift cards. Or just use the gift cards at the point of sale. As the previous poster says, I think you would have to call to see if you can use the cards towards the deposit and then they credit back your card. Though if you have already paid your credit card bill, do you want a credit sitting on it?

I highly doubt you can get a refund to your CC without cancelling and rebooking. You'd be better off just using the GC for food or other purchases while on property.

You can pay with gift cards for charges to your room after they’re charged to your credit card on checkout day but I’ve never tried paying the room portion I already paid off. I would not count on it being possible. Rebook if possible, if it’s not possible call Disney and see if you can switch the payment method. At least you’ll know for sure then.

It is amazing how much dough you can run through on food and merch though, maybe you can use it there as suggested above.
