Resort Parking Question

We are spending one night at the Pop before moving to SSR. Will we be able to leave our car at the Pop and go the parks on checkout day, coming back for it at park close and moving to SSR or will we need to drive to the park? We are tentatively planning to do MK and MVMCP that day, and I don't want to park at MK if I don't have to.

Yes you still have access to the resort and all of its amenities on check out day.

You could also check out early and leave you bags and car at SSR and take the MK bus from there. Pop will transfer your bags too, but if you have a car its easier not to wait on bell services IMO.

Depends on if you'd rather do the work in the morning or after park close.

Cost of daily parking?
  • Disney Value Resorts: $15 per night
  • Disney Moderate Resorts: $20 per night
  • Disney Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts: $25 per night
If you are a resort guest there is not cost for daily parking at the resorts. Brett listed the overnight parking charges for the different levels of resorts.

I would also go check in early at SSR, leave bags with Bell Service (things can get fousty left in a car in the Florida heat, esp toiletries and electronics) then take SSR bus to MK.

Resort guests do pay parking overnight at their resort (hotel). Resort guests do not pay for parking at the theme parks - this includes day of check-in and day of check-out.

I notice you are staying at SSR. If you are staying on points (i.e., you are an owner or are renting points), you will not pay a parking fee for the SSR nights. If you reserved your room through Disney, you will pay the parking fee per night.

All the documentation says that, but during our Feb ‘19 trip, the only trip we ever had our car down there, I don’t remember being charged for it. We checked in, parked the car and left it till we checked out. Never got asked if we had a vehicle at check in or check out. Though, it was low season, so maybe they only care if it’s at capacity or if you’re pulling in and out every day?

The difference is that the person you replied to mentioned *day* guests. People parking at a resort for just the daytime don’t have a charge. So you can go to an ADR and not pay. You only pay at the resort you’re sleeping at.

No; you were just missed. Unless you were at a DVC resort staying on points (either your own or someone else's)? DVC points reservations don’t pay for parking.

If you check the DVC website, it shows renters and non-members who pay cash will pay for parking at all DVC resorts except for OKW and SSR. Members will not.

Nope, not DVC. Standard packaged deal direct from Disney at POFQ. And yes, I know I was missed. I meant the reason we were missed was because they were lax in the off-season. I’m sure if it was prime time they would have checked if we had a vehicle. Or if we were pulling out every day they would have not missed us.
