I have done 14 nights of Disney and never set foot in a park.

My response doesn't fit the poll as my use of DVC has changed radically from "1st purchase" to "present day."

For the first 11 years of ownership we didn't visit parks. I'd say we had maybe 3 park days over 11 years of booking 7-9 night stays ... but our purpose for owning/using DVC wasn't about parks or vacation.

After switching our use to "personal travel/vacation" purposes, we generally visit a park every day and wouldn't likely travel to Florida/WDW outside of having/using an active AP. That said, if I was already in the area for another reason, I'd gladly book some downtime at SSR or Copper Creek ... just to enjoy the resort or unit. But something else needs to nudge me to FL before that happens?

For 13-14 day stays, we go to a park about 10-12 days. Like others have said though, we usually go for just 1-3 hours (least at MK, most at Epcot). Since we usually stay at the BWVs or RIV, many of our "park days" are simply a walk around World Showcase with drinks & snacks.

We typically enter a park every day that we are onsite, but that's because we've had AP's for as long as I can recall. That behavior will definitely change if we lose access to our current AP. Paying daily rates to go into a park for a few hours just won't fly.

I typical do 3 or 4 night trips. We usually pop in all but departure day

However, I have done a few three night trips that we did not do parks at all.

Some times I pop into the parks for an hour or two only because I can.

DVC is not that nice. It's nice but not $400/$600/$1000 per night nice. It's the parks that make it remotely worth it.

I would never stay at DVC if I didn't go to the parks.

I agree with this except for the "never" part. The rooms are just hotel rooms and there are far nicer places for the cash rates they charge. I go to Disney and be a part of DVC for the whole package. No parks, no DVC. That doesn't mean I need to do all day insane park days.

Since buying DVC in 2011, we've only been to WDW with APs, and would do parks every day, even if it was just for a few hours to eat in Epcot on arrival/departure day. Now with no APs, we're looking at a different scenario for our Oct trip. DH is doing 7 out of 8 days, and Ds and I are only doing 2. (and 1 night/2 days at Universal) Have never done anything like no park days, in the past. Looking a little forward to pools, visiting other resorts, but Have NO intention of making the drive to Orlando in the future for just staying at DVC resort w no parks. If we do Universal, we always stay in that bubble, and when doing other attractions prefer to stay closer to them.

Our number of park days (only I have an AP) is definitely shrinking. We’re enjoying the spoils of mostly-resort stays. And they’re wonderful.

I somewhat agree, but for me it’s more about the theming and taking me away from reality.
I stay in hotels probably way more than most here, and a nice Marriott is, well, a nice Marriott.
It’s not a themed experience.

We go to the parks every day, unless we happen to arrive when the parks are already closed / leave before they open. Sometimes it’s just to catch the fireworks, or hop in line for Rise right before park closing.

I agree. I actually meant I wouldn't go to these hotels if there were no parks attached to the environment. Like you or someone else mentioned, it's the whole package/whisk me away from the world environment that we enjoy.

I don't spend all day in the parks, but I enjoy them being close by.

Zero. We sold our Florida "snowbird" condo and now spend 4-6 weeks in DVC every Jan/Feb. Never go to parks. Might if grands came down. Would like to try some of the restaurants but not at the admission price.

Next trip staying DVC and no park days planned. Current plans are Disney Springs, Discovery Cove, and Universal with our APs.
