Our family is going on the Magic Sat. Mar. 8, but want to stay in Cocoa Beach for 2 nights prior. (We want to escape early from the Toronto Airport hassle of families heading south for March break).

Has anyone stayed at the Resort on Cocoa Beach? This is my choice of place to stay but would like to hear from someone who has actually been there for their opinion.

Also, we are arriving in Orlando at 11:00p.m. and want a ride to Cocoa beach right away instead of sleeping near the airport and then relocating the next day. (We want Friday to just relax and prepare for the cruise).
What limousine/taxi services do people recommend. I hear Tiffanys is good. We are a family of four and we don't need anything luxurious.....just a ride to Cocoa Beach from the Airport at 11:30 at night.

Any help/info would be really great!!

You're going to have to let me know what it is like. I don't know how they deal with families coming in after midnight.
I think their office closes at about 11:00p.m.

I haven't stayed there, but I've toured their facilities. It is, IMO, the most spectacular property on Cocoa Beach. It's clean, well-maintained, lushly landscaped. They have a beautiful pool and a great zero-depth play fountain for the kids. They have tennis and basketball courts with whirlpool near but definitely seperate from the pool. They have both indoor and outdoor play areas for kids. They have a drop-in child-care place similar to Flounders Reef Nursery. They have a small movie theatre onsite with scheduled movies. I was very impressed.

Dave, your assesment sounds even better than the website looked! Sounds really nice! How would compare this to the Radisson where so many stay?

And, how far is RM from the Cruise Terminal? I am assuming they do not have the shuttle service?

DH is interested in the Radisson for the parking-shuttle service, plus it does look nice. I just need to know where everyone is getting the discount code, ex. FALL, that was on the recent thread? Didn't see anything like that on the Radisson site or on Roomsaver.com? Hhhhmmmm???

Thanks!

The Radisson is a hotel. The Resort on Cocoa Beach is the kind of condo beach resort where you could enjoy a week on the beach.

The Radisson is 2.7 miles from the terminal.

Royal Mansions is 4.2 miles from the terminal.

The Resort on Cocoa Beach is 7.2 miles from the terminal.

We've stayed there. Very nice facility and the rooms are the best you'll find for an oceanfront property. I think you need to rent by the week however as it is primarily a time-share property.

We stayed at the Radisson at the Port Resort the night prior to our sailing on 9/28. The pool is great and the rooms are very clean. We were able to find an internet coupon and got a room rate of $59!! There is a good italian restaurant next door that is family friendly. The hotel also has shuttles to the port for free which was very nice. If you are renting a car, the Avis drop off is at this hotel, and they also have a van to get you to the terminal.

Yes, it is primarily a time-share property, as are many of the other condo resorts in the area, but they do offer nightly rentals.

We stayed at the Hilton at CC Beach a few years ago for a couple of days abd it was really nice.
