Resort Movie Nights?

Has anyone done a resort movie night and can share how it was? (Like crowded, or sound quality wasn't great, etc.) If you were at Art of Animation even better. It looks like an inflatable screen and you plop down and enjoy. We have a weekly family pizza movie night at home, and I was thinking of getting a pizza from the food court and doing this as the kids will love having our tradition in Disney!

Don’t have direct experience at AOA, but I I find the movie nights fun. We aren’t really movie types and I don’t think I’ve actually watched a whole movie on any trip, but it can be a nice way to spend an off night or if this kids need to just chill out for awhile.

It’s pretty much what you would expect...big blow up screen with a projector.... outdoor speakers with good sound. It’s definitely a “plop down and enjoy” kind of thing. I’ve either experienced or walked by the movies at Poly, GF, CR, and YC/BC and would not describe any of them as crowded. I’m not sure if the experience at the values is different, but I suspect not?

I have fond memories of DS falling asleep in my lap on the Poly beach watching a movie one night years ago (they used to show the movies on the beach then).

Lots of fun. Last one we went to at POR had free popcorn and towels to sit on.

Did this at pop century...not crowded...next to pool..sat on lounge chairs..free bags of ppopcorn...will do it again
