Hi,
Planning on going to Disney for my honeymoon. We are going down in early September for free dinning and leaning towards staying at Coronado Springs. The last few times we have traveled to Disney have been off site. We are looking to have some what of a relaxing trip, going to the parks whenever we wake up, spending a few days by the pool. We also like some sort of nightlife, so we will be spending a few nights at Jellyrolls (our favorite) and ESPN zone. Having never been to Coronado Springs I have a few questions:
What is the best building to stay in? We are planning on going to Rix Lounge so we are looking for a room near the main building, within walking distance to a pool (but not right at the pool, no idea if the music is like it is at the all stars when your up when the pools opens due to it). As well as a bus stop. I know alot to ask. I read that most of the rooms have been re-done, so we are hoping that the building people request is one of the remodeled buildings.

Last, for this post anyways, is there a cover charge for Rix Lounge? What is the lounge like, it seems like its pretty up scale from their website, can you wear like jeans and sneakers or do you need dress shoes? Sorry for all the questions, I look foward to any feedback you all have. Thanks

Craig

Hi, Craig. Glad to hear you are thinking of giving CSR a try. It is our favorite resort (seven stays and number eight booked). DH and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary there this past September.

Our favorite is Casitas 4 or 5 which is near the quiet pool, laundry, fitness center/spa and Bus Stop 2 (the first stop picked up and the first stop dropped off at). It is about a five minute walk to the main building where you will find registration, restaurants, gift shop and the Rix Lounge. Casitas 4 has been rehabbed, Casitas 5 is currently be rehabbed.

There is no cover charge at Rix Lounge. I am not sure of the dress code. I believe they only require that you not where cut offs, etc. Here is a link for their website. Perhaps you can call and ask about the dress code. I do know that no children are allowed in after 9:00 p.m. http://rix-lounge.com/

I hope this helps. If you have any more questions, let us know.
