For my October Ft. Wilderness trip, I'll be arriving on Saturday with my adult son and we'll set up camp, then I'm taking him to dinner, Cirque, Adventurer's Club, etc as a 21st birthday present.

Then on Sunday, I'm taking him to the airport (Sanford) and sending him home and picking up my hubby (Sanford) and he'll be there through Thursday.

I'm thinking about instead of telling them the 2nd adult will be two different people, just letting my son be my hubby for that short period and use his room key for access to the comfort station, then collect the room key from him and give it to hubby when he arrives.

There will be no park tickets involved, and although I'll activate the card for room charging, my son probably won't need to charge anything for that short bit of time.

Does anybody see any potential downsides to this plan?? Son leaves before hubby arrives, so there will never be 3 adults at the site.

I don't see where it would be wrong or a problem. You are not trying to sneak anybody any or avoid any charges.

In fact, you are actually saving them money. They cost of a new card and the labor charges to have a CM spend an hour trying to figure out that you are not adding a 3rd adult to your site.

I say go for it.

The card is really just for CS use, and maybe buying something at the TP. As long as he doesn't go to the park and get his finger scanned then I don't see any problems with this plan!

Have fun!

Don't forget extra magic hours. They don't check names on that though.

Sounds like a good solution to me, but I have a more important question; are you looking to adopt? Nevermind that we're about the same age, ma.

That was my thinking. I've found when it comes to most CMs and weird situations the KISS plan seems to work the best.

;) Nope, this is my "baby" and he'll be 21. Although having a kid that doesn't roll his eyes at me at every word that comes out of my mouth might be nice :rolleyes1

I think I'd put dh's name on the card at check-in instead of the ds's.

It's me that I want you to adopt ;) (Cirque du Soleil BD gift), I promise I won't roll my eyes at you!

It seems like switching them would be a big headache...remember, your avg cast member at the check in is usually 18, half retarded, half stoned, or both and Im sure they make a mess out of something as simple as switching the two out. Save a baked teenager some stress and just keep the switch to yourself. I think it would be easier on you.

That what I was saying. It might be nice to have an adult for a kid, instead of these know-it-all brats that I seem to have right now :-)

(Hopefully this condition is temporary. Doesn't it start about 15 and end at 25 ish?????)

I can vouch for that. High schoolers, even graduates, are mostly clueless. I was reminded of that when I returned to work today and had to deal with them.;)
