Is it ok to go to other resorts and swim and explore the facilities? We are staying at AKL, but I would like to visit the other resort pools and look for future places to stay. Thanks:bounce:

You are welcome to visit other resorts, dine there, have a cocktail in the lounge, rent recreational items, but sorry, pool hopping is not allowed. Most resorts now ask to see your resort ID, and you will be asked to leave if you are not staying there.

Also, the beaches at some of the resorts are signed that they are for the exclusive use of the guests of taht resort. During the day when no one else is around, it's not a big deal to walk or sit on them, but in busier times such as during fireworks displays they do tend to enforce this rule.

You'll love the AKL, it's incredible!

We recently stayed at the BCV. Stormalong Bay is usually strictly monitored but attendance was low and there were plenty of lounge chairs so there was no one checking ID's. I think it is enforced as needed. The busier it is the stricter they become. That being said I have never used another hotel's pool, I would never want to take away a chair from a paying guest. Feel free to explore the resorts though. That is my favorite part.;)

We LOVE to resort hop!! We always allow time for that on every trip. My favorite thing to do is take the monorail to the Polynesian, Grand Floridian and Contemporary. We usually walk around each and perhaps have a cocktail or light bite. It's SO much fun. We also usually hit AKL - but since you are staying there - ENJOY. I would try to make it to Wilderness Lodge if you can. By the way, when you are at Epcot - you can walk into the Boardwalk area via the World Showcase and check out the Yacht and Beach Club and the Boardwalk Inn and Villas. I don't think you can pool hop though - to any resort. Incidentally, you MUST dine at Boma and Jiko during your stay - WONDERFUL!! Have fun!
