hi all we were just wondering if just anyone is allowed in the disney resorts to look around .we have booked for chef mickeys but wondered if we are allowed in other resorts if we are not booked in as guests . thank you in anticipation of your replies:banana::hyper::cool1:

Yes, you are allowed to visit any of the resorts.

If you are driving and don't have dining reservations, they may send you elsewhere to park. Some resorts are stricter about non-resort guests parking at the resort.

This is one of the best ways to get a "feel" for each resort without it costing you any money. Ask at the front desk if they have unoccupied rooms that you can tour. I toured all of the DVC resorts at WDW one weekend (it was pouring rain for 2 days) and was able to see several rooms.

We just returned and did some resort hopping because my brother may buy into the vacation club. We stayed at BWV, but visited Contemporary and outside of Bay Lake, Wilderness Lodge, Polynesian, Animal Kingdom. It was a fun break from the parks and had lunch at Wilderness Lodge. As others have said, you might be directed to a specific parking lot.

you can definitely visit. have fun.

the epcot resorts and MK resorts are the easiest.

you can walk to both BWV and BCV from Epcot fairly easily. BCV has the best parking - a big self parking lot right next to BCV.

mk - you use to be able to park at blt - but now they are allowing CM to park here (which is why you need to be staying at BLT to park there) - not sure why now they allow CM to park at BLT when before they did not. anyway to get to VWL just take the boat. that say might go to VWL first - just because think you can park here easier than BLT these days.

also if you visit Jambo house at AKL - remember Kidani is a quick van ride (the van picks up into of the lobby instead of at the bus stop)

OKW and SSR are fairly close - although would drive to each one instead of walking or taking the boat (you take the boat to DD then transfer to the other one)
