Resort Hopping with no car

If we do not rent a car and plan to have early morning breakfast in a hotel, will it be too much of a hastle to first get on a bus to the hotel to eat and then get on a bus to get to a park? Is it too much time wasted?

There are no direct resort to resort buses. So, if you are staying at one resort, you will need to take a bus to the TTC or DTD, then a bus to the resort for breakfast, then a bus to the park of your choice after breakfast.

It will take some time (Disney literature says to budget up to 90 minutes to get from one resort to another using only Disney transportation) and, depending upon how early your breakfast is, buses may or may not be running then.

A cab from your resort to the other resort will certainly be easier and quicker (but not cheaper).

If you cant get an early bus to breakfast, maybe a cab would be your best bet for that, then take a bus to your park of choice after breakfast. Good luck!

We don't do many big sitdown breakfasts - but if we do, it is on a day when we may be going to Downtown Disney or one of the water parks (which open around 10;00am). My family would never give up that early park time, before the crowds come in!

The Contempoary, Poly and Grand Floridian are fairly easy to get to for an early breakfast. Take bus to MK and then walk to Contemporary or monorail to any of those 3. If EPCOT is early entry, you may be able to walk through EPCOT to get to BC, YC, BW and Swan Dolphin. Thee other way which is not easy is to go to park for Early Entry and then take bus to resort for breakfast.

We do what DaveH suggested. We hit the park for Early Entry then go for breakfast which could now be called "Brunch". Usually the breakfast is either in the park of choice or darn close! For example; EE for MK and then eat at either Crystal Palace or Chef Mickey's.
