They really are ALL the rage, down here in Miami, too! (fyi: they make great teacher appreciation gifts ) We have so many cupcake shops and people making them out of their houses. At one particular place, they have mini cupcakes (which are perfect b/c the regular ones are just too rich) and red velvet is my favorite, followed closely by vanilla that has white chocolate chips in the bottom. YUM! But a new shop just opened near my house and my girlfriends and I have been trying to set up a date to go check it out. Nobody has cakes at their events anymore. This weekend I was at a baby shower for my cousin's DW and when they served the coffee, I thought to myself "hmm, wonder when they'll serve the cake?" I had already had a cupcake.

So, I agree, a dedicated cupcake bakery is essential in DIStown. We will not sell cupcakes in my bakery (no competition in DIStown).

After all of this cupcake talking I went this afternoon to get some. I went to the place in south miami right by sunset place. I got the mini red velvet and the oreo one. I brought home some since today was my parents 33 anniversary and I tried the one with chocolate chips, yum
My DD only ate one she doesn't like cupcakes that much, I don't know where that girl came from

Ok I want to live in Distown also. Do we need to pay taxes in Distown?? I can be the Tax Collector although I would like a change in careers also so I would like to open a little country store & sell bath bombs & soaps & candles etc.

Painless, ended today. Carl decided my arm needed to go way above my head and my shoulder wasn't quite ready for that.
