Resort guest without park tickets?

I've got a mother/daughter trip planned for January, but now my husband is considering going. He ONLY wants to hang out/enjoy the resort and doesn't want to go to the parks. Can I add him to a room reservation without getting "matching" park tickets?

If it's a package, not sure. If you bought tickets separately, yes.
