Resort for Mom & DD7

My DD7 and myself are going for our first girls only vacation in June right after school is out. Any suggestions for a resort?!? I have no idea which one to choose! We are doing the family vacation in August at BC. We have APs and the rates are out for this stay but of course I don't want to blow our budget! I was thinking of a value but am nervous! And we love AKL so maybe....than BWI....confused! Help!!!

What about a resort on the monorail? How about the Poly. I bet your 7-year old would love that. She could be a little "hawaiian hula girl" the whole trip! I can't remember if there are codes out right now for the Poly, but if there are that would definitely be my choice.

Myself and DD5 stayed at ASMo for our girls only vacation at the end of Sept. and stayed in the Dalmation Sect. The rooms were plenty big for just the two of us and she loved the fantasia pool. The bus service was really good. However, we went during off season so it wasn't as crowded. We had previously stayed at ASSp and there was four of us and it was a little crowded. We liked ASMo better. We are going on another all girls vacation this summer, however it is going to be four generations of us and we are going to stay at AKL, I can't wait. I guess it depends on how much you want to spend for the hotel. We weren't there a lot so, I figured we had more spending money by staying at a value resort. If you decide to pick on I would most definitely choose ASMo.

I stayed at the All Star Music a few years ago, and found it to be a nice motel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, so that's all that matters. Perhaps you can pick out the one that would be most appealing to your daughter, and give that one a try. A room at a value resort is better than lots of rooms in nice hotels outside of Disney.

And perhaps you can plan something extra special during the trip with the money you save by going to a value resort. Perhaps you can plan a dinner show, or Cirque du Soliel.

my about-to-turn 7 dd's favorites are (in order) AKL, AsMo, AsMu. We both LOVED the rooms at Hotel Royal Plaza, but didn't like the hotel overall. We also like HIFS. Me, my favorite is CBR.

On our first Mommy/ daughter trip we stayed st ASMo. We stayed in the Buzz lightyear building 3 rooms down from the end of the building and food court. The rooms were the right size for the 2 of us and we had the best time!My DD loved the resort! This summer we are going to try Pop Century ( DD's choice) and we can't wait. The Value resorts are great! Why spend money on a bigger room when there are only 2 of you? We didn't spend much time in the room anyway as we are always at the parks!

When I took my daughter on a Mom/DD trip when she was 6, we stayed at AKL in a standard room. She loved it when we had stayed there previously and asked for it for this trip. I liked that it was an enclosed resort, made me feel safer since this was the first time we traveled alone together. Great bus service, nice food court, pool and hottubs hit the spot and a nice person did her hairwrap there one morning. Oh and I haven't even mentioned the animals yet!

I know we love AKL. It is actually a little over $540 for the 4 nites in a standard room. Which I have on hold. But she is spoiled and wants to stay there only if in a savannah room (been there 3xs and stayed savannah all the time). I tried to explain this is an "extra" vacation and we should just be thankful we are going. Plus in all of the resorts I figure we have a better chance in being upgraded there than anywhere else! I'd love to do Poly b/c DH has not desire to stay there and I always did as a child..but I'm sure that will blow the budget! AAAAA....well at this point it is probably AKL or WL!
