I have read that the resort fees are mandatory. If you are not going to use the stuff that the resort fees cover (NEWSPAPER, LOCAL PHONE, GYM, ETC.), can you have it taken off your reservation/bill? Has anyone tried to do this and been successful?

Also, has anyone used the cribs that the resort supplies? Are they good? Is it better to have a king bed or two beds w/ the crib? Does one bed type give you more room for the crib?

You might be able to ask for the resort fee to be waived but as far as I've heard it's getting harder to do that. I guess it depends on who you ask.

The cribs are metal portacribs. They are quite sturdy and comfortable as long as you get a thick mattress. You might want to check the mattress after you get the crib. There were a few times that we had a ripped mattress but it was replaced promptly at our request.

I dont' know how many people will be in your room so it's tough to say if you should request 2 beds or 1 king, that's a matter of preference. You pretty much will have the same amount of room either way. It's best to place the crib in the far corner of the room near the window. (that's what we found worked best for us when dd slept in one).
