Sorry to be so ignorant, but if I reserve a Disney resort now for a vacation six months from now, can I later change the reservation to take advantage of any discount programs that may come into effect?

In such a scenario, can I change only the price, leaving the rest of the reservation intact?

Thank you.

Kevin

You should be able to to but we have had difficulty in the past. We have been told by Disney that we can just call back and give any AP codes or a discount code to lower the cost of the room and sometimes we were lucky and others we weren't. For some unknown reason the disneyworld website posts codes and discounts that Disney reps to not have access to. Your best bet is to try it since you have, I believe, 48 hours to cancel to get deposit back. Once in the past, we cancelled our reservation for CBR at $143 a night after haggling with the rep to get a code for $94 a night (a code listed in the disneyworld website). We then just booked a room at the $94 rate on the website. You should just book and take it from there - good luck!
