Resort discount for DVC members?

I would like to try and convince DH to go to WDW with me Veterans Day weekend in November to celebrate our anniversary and check out F&W. We don't have the points to stay at a DVC resort because of our vacation booked for July. Is there a discount at the regular disney owned resorts for DVC members? If we do this we would get APs because it would make sense since we could use them in July on our 10-night trip (spending 7 days at the parks). Is there also an AP discount for room only? Also, how would you recommend booking flights? I haven't flown since the year 2000 so I know everything is totally different now! What's a good price for a nonstop flight from nyc to Orlando on a Saturday and returning on a Monday in November? And, without a MYW package are we entitled to magical express?

If there are any room discounts for DVC or AP holders, would this be for any Disney resort? If we stay at a value, is there still a discount?

I'm not sure we will even end up doing this, but I would like as much info as possible before I present this to DH. Thanks in advance!

There is no DVC discount for non-DVC resorts. And the DVC discount (25% off) at DCV resorts isn't always available.

You can get the Magical Express with any Disney reservation, DVC points, DVC cash, Disney Reservation Center cash.

It may be tough finding anything for that weekend with the end of F&W festival and the Wine and Dine Half Marathon. Plus the holiday.

Thanks for the info. There is some availability that weekend. We're not picky where, it just has to be affordable. So no deluxe resorts for us. But with it being just DH and I, a value is fine and we could take the bus to Epcot without having to worry about it being too late for the kids, or anything like that. Not sure if we're gonna do this. Definitely going on a 2-night weekend getaway of some sort, but have to price different things. Also have to bring myself to get on a plane again if we do this.
