Resort counter service options?

This will be our first time without Dinning Plan. Please let me know which resorts had the best counter service menus. We are looking for healthly choices. Burgers and fries can get old very quick. Thought it may be fun to check out counter service at differnet resorts rather than just in the parks.

Earl of Sandwich is in Downtown Disney and they have the best bargain for the buck.

They have sub sandwiches, salads and stuff like that. I think the sandwiches are like 5 or 6 dollars depending on what you order. Try the CannonBall(meatball subs)!

The Mara at Animal Kingdom does have burger and fries but they also have other items that are healthier. The Mara's food also seems to taste better than all of the other food courts on property.

I second CSR's food court for the food selection

Thank you for your input. I kind of like the idea of not being held to a reservation time that controls the day and where we go. Plus this gives us anexcuse to visit other resorts.

Port Orleans Riverside has a lovely "create your own pasta" bar, it's really good.

Another vote for the Pepper Market!! There is a large variety of food and everything we had was very tasty!

I liked the Polynesian's "Captain Cook's" CS restaurant. The selection wasn't huge, but what they had was pretty good. There was even a self-serve Dole Whip machine!!

We like the food court at ASMovies.....great taco salad, and DH loves the London Broil dinner.......
