I am looking into buying a comforter from a WDW consolidator. It is an Alice in Wonderland king sized comforter from the Grand Floridian. I just emailed the seller to ask, but has anyone by chance noticed what washing instructions are for the WDW resort comforters? Consolidators sometimes have the stuff boxed up and aren't sure about things like that. So far this is the first king sized one I have found on Ebay, the rest were queen sized, so I really want to buy this one, but worry about getting it cleaned. I'd imagine they are all the same material and washing instructions, probably all manufactured for Disney by the same company, so even if you noticed what the instructions were on other resort comforters, that would help! I know this is an odd question! I am hoping someone who is there right now might check their comforter for me. :rotfl: :wizard:

I have a yellow one from the GF with the Tinkerbell designs on them, and mine is a queen, it is way tooooo big for my HE washer, so I take it to the cleaners.
It is just a normal comforter, polyester I believe with a white backing.

Good luck!

I also bought a comforter from e-bay (wonder if it's the same guy?) - mine was brand new from AKL - cotton w/poly backing - will definitely be taking it to the cleaners to be professionaly washed - it's huge!

Just checked the tag and it says to wash gentle w/mild soap and tumble dry. Hope that helps.

Thanks!!! The Ebay seller is called wdwsurplus. They have a bunch of them, mainly from GF. For the person who mentioned the resorts with comforters, I am sorry...bedspread would be more accurate for the one I am talking about. :thumbsup2 I collect Alice in Wonderland, so this will be a cool addition, especially since I am moving into a new house at the end of the month. I am thinking of recreating the GF Alice room (to the best of my ability) in my own bedroom. I do have an oversized washer, but I think I will take this to the cleaners to get it cleaned. :wizard:

Hi!
I have this exact same comforter and bought it from wdw surplus on ebay also. When I received mine it had a small orange stain on it. I put it in my washer on a regular cycle and then dried it in my dryer on high heat and it was just fine AND the orange stain was gone. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine. :)

Thanks! :thumbsup2 I hope the person who is bidding on it doesn't sneak in at the last minute and get it! It's the king size, which is of course harder to find. The seller has 2 of the queen sized one, with no one bidding! I hope I win it!! :wizard:

Where do you find the bedding on Ebay??

You can find this seller if you search for "alice comforter grand". The auctions that come up are all for the GF Alice ones, go into the auction and click the link for view sellers other items on the right side. I'd post the link direct to the guy's auctions...but that may violate some rules of the board somehow...so instead I will just explain how to find them. :thumbsup2 :wizard:
