This may not even be the right board, but I can't find it anywhere. :confused3
We bought a pin trading starter set for my DD for Christmas because she really got into looking at pins our past trip. DH and I are just getting started "pinning" too and have never really noticed -- do the CM's at the resorts (CSR in particular) wear lanyards for pin trading? I'm thinking it may be easier for DD to trade at the resort than in with the park crowds. Thanks everybody!

Yes, resort employees wear lanyards. Pretty much any CM you see wearing a lanyard at any WDW location is available for pin trading. Of course, you have to use discretion if they are very busy. We're always on the lookout for CM's that appear to be managers (typically wearing business apparel vs. uniforms) and are walking through the parks/resorts at various times. They usually have some really good pins...the problem is trying to catch them because they walk very fast!

The green lanyards are even specific to trading only with children.
Look in the gift shop. I think at the resorts that is usually the best place! :cool1:

I've gotten some of my best pins from the CMs at resorts. :thumbsup2 And definitely look for CMs that have green lanyards or hip boards. They're the ones who trade with kids 3 - 12 and love introducing kids to pin trading.

For one of the very BEST pin trading experiences with a CM, may I suggest going over to the Beach Club resort & trading with Art, the Greeter? He is a WONDERFUL man, and unbelievably great with kids. He virtually always wears both a green and an "all ages" lanyard, and so she should be able to trade from either one with him. He's absolutely terrific and loves his job, & boy does it show!

So you'll know him when you see him, here's a pic of him with my wife & me in October.
