Could I hear everyone's opinions on Contemporary vs. Beach Club? We have children between 7-12. Wanting to book for next September.

Thank you!

Really depends on which park(s) you will be frequenting. My DW and I love Epcot and the HS so we'd choose Beach Club. You can easily walk to Epcot and walk or boat to HS we've stayed at Beach Club 2 times and Yacht Club 3 times. Beach is a wonderful resort and there several places to eat great sit down meals and also Beaches & Cream .And don't forget Stormalong Bay if you like pools !!! Never stayed at Contemporary, just doesn't give me that Disney feel . By the way , we love all the parks !!!

Have stayed at both, CR club level and YC/BC (both) more times than I can count and we prefer YC/BC. I felt like CR was a little too, well contemporary. It just felt like a hotel and I didn't feel the magic. It is very convenient to the MK however, and with little ones that might make a difference. There is actually a walkway between it and MK. I don't think you can go wrong with either but if you are going to be spending more time at MK, go CR if you are going to be spending more time at Epcot/HS go BC.

The one big draw of YC/BC for the hot month of September is Storm Along Bay. If your children are huge pool fans, then YC/BC becomes a strong contender and top choice. If you are primarily looking at the MK/Epcot then the CR is the optimum choice. As a hotel, I find the theming just as good at the CR as at the BC. Also at the CR the rooms are bigger/more comfortable, all tower rooms have a balcony, the walkway to the MK is priceless and the access to other resorts is best of all the WDW resorts. If walking inside the hotel is an issue, the halls are long and convoluted at the YC/BC whereas e everything is very close at the CR. The BC has the Marketplace for quick service, but the Contempo cafe at the CR is leaps and bounds better, IMO. Both resorts are near other resorts fro lots of dining choices, but we find the dining in the MK area resorts to be more to our taste than the dining in the Epcot resorts. However, you do have all of World Showcase at your doorstep at the BC!

Personally, I would choose the CR, but that is MY personal preference between the hotels. Lots of people would prefer the BC with its great pool and easy access to both Epcot and DHS.

Good luck choosing!

Going in March and couldn't decide between the two, so I'm doing a split stay. Both have their positives and negatives. I would say it depends on which park you'll be spending the most time at.

Never stayed at Contemporary, but have stayed at Bay Lake Tower twice, BC once. Proximity to parks would be my deciding factor in your case. Walk to MK plus monorail and boats to 4 other resorts via CR, or walk/boat to Epcot/HS via BC, plus 3 other resorts. I mention other resorts because they afford you additional eating choices. So, for me bottom line is, which park(s) appeal to you most?
