Resort Changers--The Saga Continues.....

Thinking of upgrading from pop to CBR or POFQ. Not sure which to choose? OR if it is worth the extra 750.00 for 10 days ?

Is it worth the extra 750 to you? :) I like the values, mods and deluxe resorts so I think it's up to you if you think it's worth it.

I've been pretty behind as well:sad2: Mother's day was awesome! Didn't have to work til 5pm:woohoo: Ate more cake:dance3: Hope everyone else had a great day...Now to catch up a little

Hope Hannah is having a great time:cool1:

Glad you had a nice Mothers Day! :goodvibes

pas130 Glad you had a great day! You deserve it. :goodvibes

I can't believe our Hannah banana left us! I miss her already. Come back Hannah! :rotfl:

Did everyone enjoy Mother's Day? We had a lovely day in the yard with my entire family. It was very nice and the weather was just gorgeous. Here's a picture of the princess. The prince was too busy playing with his cousins to be bothered with pictures lol.

What a lovely little Princess! :goodvibes I love all of the pink on her. :)

Ok so I'm a little slow...but, looking at our tickers, we will be vacationing a the same time!!!! We HAVE to meet up!:yay:

I'm going to join in here because I changed our reservations from Poly to POR. Poly would have been very nice, but after considering pools, food court options and price, we decided to move to POR. Besides, we really like it there!

We we just booked CBR. IT was 750.00 more. But we are now getting the regular dining. Which we would have to pay 200.00 to upgrade. Then we were renting a fridge so there is another 120.00 for the 10 days. So really the upgrade was around 430.00 or so.

When dh called from lunch he really wanted me to upgrade. The moderate just fit us better. We like to take a resort/DTD day and just hang out. We also do at A Water park day and are usually back at the resort around 4 or 5 and like to hang out at the pool.

:rotfl: OK so I'm a little slow too! :rotfl2: We should meet up! This way I can see all those cute kiddos of yours in person :goodvibes

:goodvibes The price is very good! I hope you have a marvelous vacation there :) How many times have you stayed at POR? Are you going to request one of those new Royal rooms?

I think you'll enjoy it a lot at CBR :goodvibes I went there to walk around and look at things there and it has a really nice tropical atmosphere. I liked the food court too, and the pool looked like it would be a lot of fun. :)

Congrats! I really love CBR. It's one of my favorites. I loved the food court and the pool. The grounds are beautiful. If you booked a standard room you can request building 45 or 51. They're right across the bridge from OPR.

Thanks for the welcome, pas130!!!

The price differential was amazing!!! We've only stayed at POR once before (and it was the first time we stayed on property.....we usually rent my friend's house in Davenport), but we loved it so much and you do get the perks of staying onsite (not to mention how close "home" is at the end of a long night) that we decided to do so again.

We can't request one of the royal rooms because, technically, there are five of us: me, hubby, DD9, DS8 and the baby who will turn 3 on October 22nd (hence, why we're going when we're going. lol). I'm not sure if Quinn will like the trundle, but most nights he ends up in our bed anyway (the reason I bought a king 11 years ago :)).

My DD told me yesterday she wants to go to Flower and Garden Festival. Does that mean we are back to a May 2012 trip:rotfl::rotfl: Would love to do 2 trips, but that's not gonna happen:confused: Really want Christmas...BUT...I still have 3 nights in the Poly Princess suite reserved (figured it's like a Disney saving account:lmao:) So WWYD May at Poly/ May at GF RPC or Nov/Dec GF RPC the prices are about the same (I have to do 2 rooms at GF). I will start out at Pop or AoA-I promised the kids. I know it's early, I need something to obsess over:laughing:

kaffinitoshould we meet at WDW or US......decisions/decisions. You can check out the Portofino Suite;)

Oh well, at least you get to stay at POR. Maybe some of the AB rooms will be done by then? :goodvibes

Your son might like the trundle since it will be right next to the bed. :)

AoA is a good something to obsess over. I might give the whole resort a miss though now that I've discovered Sports. :)

Portofino sounds good, for a meet up - we probably won't be staying at a Loews on site. :sad1:

Although I must warn you that I might just end up chucking the whole trip to WDW anyway. It will cost a lot since the kids AP's have expired, mine will expire before the trip, and those tickets cost a lot of money. So I'm not sure right now what I'll do. I know I have at least a few grand in expenses so far, and am not sure how to pay for it all. :sad1:

I could save at least 1200 bucks by switching to Hilton Head DVC and doing some ghost tours in Savanna instead of going to WDW.

:sad2: There's always 2012 to obsess over. And if I do the 2 rooms at RPC there's room for 3 more-I think my kids will love you:thumbsup2. If I can't pay for the trip up front, we don't go, so I hear you on the $$$

:rotfl: But you won't love my kids "Stinky and Whiney". :rotfl2:

I will obsess over 2012 too - and over another possible solo trip in December. DH suggested I go again when the kids are in TX over the holidays. :goodvibes

I could do DVC at Hilton Head and then ghost tours in Savannah though - the boys are definitely up for that. Oldest DS is a little disgruntled though - he hates cities and loves WDW. I might have to bribe him with food and mini golf.

Anyhow, he moved out last weekend, and is coming over every day for several hours to "hang out" with me. :confused3

Now, which one's Stinky and which one's Whiny? Is Whiny the one who moved out, but is visiting a lot? Has his dirty laundry and hungry stomach been visiting, too?

If you're going in December and 2012 then you need to get the APs, don't you?

Disneydreamin247: That photo is so cute. I love how her little feet are crossed with those precious pink booties. Did someone knit those for her?

pas130: I felt sorry for you on the GF thread because you're not currently booked there and I could "hear it in your post" that you were already missing that suite:hug:. You're handling the unexpected change very well and I like your future plans, but how could you go to WDW in May? I thought NJ followed the same school schedule as NoVa of Sep. - June:confused3

I wonder what Hannah and Gramma are up to right now? I bet they're having a great time and maybe they'll even book a bounceback!

Good luck to everyone who is even contemplating a change:goodvibes

I reallyyyyyyy want to do AoA next year too! DS doesn't seem enthused but I'm sure he will once he sees more photos.

Ugh I hate having to front the money for those darn AP renewals! It's a big chunk of change and you have quite a few to buy.

:lmao: He just loves you so much! You should be flattered, but I know that feeling too well! Whenever someone asks DS if he wants to visit my hearts starts to sing until he says he'd rather stay with mom. It's not that I don't love him but boy would that small reprieve be a god send!

Now, which one's Stinky and which one's Whiny? Is Whiny the one who moved out, but is visiting a lot? Has his dirty laundry and hungry stomach been visiting, too?

Thanks! My mom bought them in a baby store (which one it was escapes me ATM!)

My very good friend from Orlando is visiting right now. I'm very happy to have him here and see him doing well. Last year he was using drugs and was in a very bad place and I had to take the tough love approach with him. His mom is also dying of ALS. I'm very grateful to see him in such a better place right now. I went out to dinner without the kids tonight and felt like an awful mom. I almost cried at dinner!

disneydreamin247 You are NOT an awful mom. Your poor friend...glad he was able to kick drugs not an easy feat-especially with his mom being sick. I am taking a friend out for a girls night. She just had a miscarriage, but I feel like I need to go out as badly as she does. There WILL be crying and laughing at dinner I'm sure. DH is already giving me the mommy guilt about going out. My friend and I joked about hopping a plane to Disney....

WDWKOOK Missed u! I'm excited about WL, but still can't get GF out of my head. I would be one of those "bad moms" taking my kids out of school for vacation. I want to see decorations, but everyone else wants flowers and swimming...except DS 10 (gotta love my momma's boy):cutie:

LillianGracey Hannah we miss you, and can't wait to hear about your trip....

kaffinito I have a Stinky and Whiney too (DH and DS10 respectively).:rotfl: Too funny about DS, do you see him MORE now that he moved out? Gotta love it. Savannah sounds nice, and boys can ALWAYS be bribed with food, there's a fantastic (but crowded) pizza place in Hilton Head

disneydreamin247

You aren't a bad mom. A good Mom is one who can take time out for themselves too. :goodvibes Especially with your DS! And with a new baby on top of it? Yikes! You need more dinners with friends, not less.

:goodvibes They change personalities depending on the weather, whims, and time of day. :) Right now DS18 is "stinky" since I can't make him take daily showers. DS10 is "whiney" since he doesn't have a basketball net. (DHDH won't let him have one )

If I go in Dec 2011, then I won't need but two day worth of tickets. One for MK and one for DSH. :cool1:

But for next April or August then I will, you're right. But hopefully by then business will pick up again and I'll be able to afford it. :goodvibes

I hope Hannah gets back soon with an update on her trip! :)

How are things in your "changin' world"? ;)

Well tell your DH from me to stick his head in a bucket. :sad1: You work so hard between your job and your kids - you should get a night out with the girls. Don't you hate it when you get a guilt trip for the simplest things and you already work more jobs than they do. Poopy heads. :headache:

Anyhow, yeah, I see a LOT of DS now that he has his own place. He was over for five hours again today. No laundry, but he does eat me out of the contents of the refrigerator. :upsidedow

I still hope I can make it to WDW this summer. I really do love baking in that hot hot hot Florida heat that time of year. Gets me ready for winter. ;)

Yeah I left at 4pm-after Dinner was done, homework finished, everyone settled. As we were leaving the restaurant at 8pm (had a great time, we both needed the time away) got the txt "When are coming home the kids miss you" :headache: Just when I thought all was well...I got home with donuts, yep the kids were fine and happy:confused3 It'll be another 5 years til I go out again. I was actually contemplating an overnite trip. Just 1-2 days, I would bring my friend-and there's room for more.......I really want to see the Christmas decorations and the MK Party. Good girls only trip, of course I would lie and say I was going to Atlantic City for a convention:angel: If I get a room only bounceback IT'S ON!

DS10 is permanently Whiney....like nails on a chalkboard, drives me nuts

I see I have been missed! LOL! I hope everyone has been doing well and has been changing a lot! I had a wonderful time! It went so well! We didn't get a bounceback offer, but my gramma says in 6 months we can talk about going on another trip. ;) Though I'm hoping to go with my boyfriend. I texted him saying that we should go next year for the food and wine festival and he said maybe, but he said he wants to save up for a house and some jewelry. That totally made my day. :lovestruc Though I joked and asked if he was getting me a new necklace and he said it will be made out of macaroni and pretzels. :rotfl: I love him. He always knows how to make me smile.

I will be working on my TR as soon as I upload and resize my pictures! :) Also, the tarps are down on the castle! They were up when we got there on Monday and were gone I think on Wednesday or Thursday. Also, the progress next to Beast's castle is going great! I didn't get great pictures because I did not want to wait in the long line for Dumbo. :rotfl:

Welcome Home! We all thought about you often. The only changeing I did while you were gone was tweeking my ADRs.

Sounds like grandma has the Disney bug now and wants to go down for Christmas ............ and then you can go nest fall with DBF for F&W.

Can not wait to hear all about staying at CR!

Thank you! And at least you changed something!

We wouldn't be going down for Christmas because she is Jewish, but I was thinking about going in January because we had to go into the shops often because she was getting really hot.

CR was so beautiful! My gramma and I loved it! The view was wonderful! I enjoyed being on the Bay Lake side because I could see MK when I walk out of my room (and at the lounge) and I could see BL when I go out onto the balcony! We watched Wishes from the lounge last night. It was so wonderful! :)
