Resort Changers--The Saga Continues.....

So because I have my reservation number memorized, I called Disney on my last break at work, which was at about 7:45pm CT, to see if anyone else cancelled, but no one did. I was on hold for like 5 minutes or so so I was very hopeful, but unfortunately no luck. I am so glad I got my break then because I wanted to catch them just before they closed.

The last time I called to make a change to our reservation I realized I knew the reservation number by heart, I guess that means I called one too many times I have changed dates and resort and room type going from Oct to Sept to Oct from CR to BCV to BC but I think I am done now unless.......

I'm going to try to stay away from the DIS for the whole day.

Well, will your son find the characters overwhelming, like the Madhatter? If not, you'll get some great photos with Mary Poppins, Alice, etc... I would change to 1900 if it's not a problem for your son, otherwise, the GFC has a great menu and lovely views.

Hey, is this where I post a resort change?

I followed in Hannah's footsteps today and was able to book the CR Tower/BLV. I did have to move our arrival to two days sooner, but that's not a problem. DH is not going to miss our AKL/CL reservation and I think our reservation is perfect now with 5 nights in the Tower and 7 nights in the BC/Deluxe CL room.

Now I need to switch those AKL ADRs to the MK area and cancel the Sunrise Safari. I'm too embarassed to make the AKL IPO cancel the SS so I'll just ask the BC IPO

We need an official resort changers' logo. Maybe I can get Missoutandabout to tell me how to make one. Have a great weekend fellow changers.

BTW, I told pas130 on the GF thread to book the suite. What do you guys think?

He's done well at the other character meals. I'll also have reinforcers with me to chase him down if need be...of course I could always just add a 1900 PF breakfast for checkout day. The only problem I have with last day ADRs is that I'm always looking forward to them, but regretfully because I know they mean the end of our trip. I should make it at HnV. I wouldn't be looking forward to that one!

Those are so cute! I'd get the one with Daisy on it for sure! I think I'm gonna do three gift cards. One for my souvenirs, one for my food and one for souvenirs for other people. Knowing my spending habits, I have a feeling there will be nothing left over for family or friends.

One Daisy Duck, one cats, and one Princess is my vote.

LillianGracey I bought the Princess cards for my girls, and the Toy Story one for my DS to have a "credit card" to use on vacation.

OK, so I have officially (for now) decided NOT to do BWI this August and just stay GF. Now, I am eyeing the Sugarloaf 1 bedroom suite instead of 2 rooms at RPC. (No suites available in the main builing...that I can fit all the little ones AND afford at least) I really need to make a decision though.....

That also sounds like a good change. I tried to get 1900 PF for my trip too but couldn't. If you can get it - I'd keep it.

Woohoo! Excellent change and I think you may have even saved a few $? You made the right call snapping up the suite before it's too late and then you'd regret not doing it sooner. Have you seen some photos yet on the GF thread? I've found that deluxe room and suite photos are a precious commodity and hard to come by. I hope you've found some as it makes it so much more exciting.

Thank you for your congrats on (finally) getting the CR/BLV. I probably shouldn't be so excited seeing that I've stayed there 7 times before, and as recently as December and August. But DH wasn't with us and it's his favorite resort so that makes me happy. So if there's anything you need to know about the CR, just ask.

Now that you're at the GF exclusively, do you need to switch some ADRs and change your ticker from "summer vacation" to "GF suite?"

Good question! Something hyper and slightly OCD would probably fit well. Isn't the White Rabbit like that? Eeyore has lots of trouble making decisions, but he's really slow and unenthusiastic, unlike us! I haven't used these, but I found them in a Google search. IKR! The "last" meal is so sad. I like to always end on a high note, but inevitably, it's the "last" meal so it's depressing. Do you go with the TS you love or the TS that fits the somber mood of the last day.

Exactly if a better discount is offered (currently booked on a 20% off pin # DH rec'd) FD would only save us an additonal $29.88 so I won't bother with that but 35-40% I could not pass on.

I'm really hoping a room opens up at CR that isn't club level. My gramma wants to sit down and discuss the money and I don't want to show her the big bill. I may just switch back to the Boardwalk if I don't get a room in the next couple of weeks. This is so not good.

Since today is the last day of the general public room only discount from August 14th - October 1st I decided to break my rule and check one last time if any rooms at the Contemporary on the Atrium Club Level floor became available from August 31st - September 4th which are the days we are staying Club Level at the Beach Club and it's still sold out. Now incase you are wondering would I check for Annual Pass rates if they announce more dates for during that time, well I can't and that's because my Annual Pass has expired and I haven't re-newed it yet. That also means I can't log onto the Annual Pass site to look at the special offers that might come out.

I thought the Annual Pass needed to be valid even when calling for Annual Pass rates? Besides that chances are I will renew it with one of the Boardwalk Inn Club Level Cast Members if they have the system set up or I will walk to one of the Guest Relations windows at the International Gateway and do it there, because I know the Annual Pass must be valid when you check-in for an Annual Pass rate. Finally from Canada it's a long distance call to the Disney Reservations Center and we hate their system until you actually speak with a Cast Member, so that only adds the total cost of that phone call.
