Resort Changers--The Saga Continues.....

Sorry, but I can't seem to sell myself on an Epcot resort. With young kids it just doesn't seem appealing to me. Besides, at a monorail resort I'm just a ride away from Epcot anyway.

Same here. Just the thought of not having to fold the strollers AT ALL on the way "home" is priceless. We mainly do MK and Epcot. Plus I have NEVER stayed on the monorail.

I'm on the phone now and at first they weren't able to change my reservation because the PIN expired, but she worked some magic and was able to change it with the PIN! Unfortunately there isn't availability for the 9th - 13th for the Contemporary, only the 9th - 12th, so we are checking on the Boardwalk Inn.

And it looks like we can do the Boardwalk Inn for the 9th - 13th and we will have a water view because that is what is left. I will keep checking back every day to see if someone cancelled for the Contemporary. I am very grateful I was still able to use my PIN.

My sincerest apologies for double posting, but I'm in a bit of a pickle right now. Should I keep my reservation for BWI for the 9th - 13th or should I book the Contemporary for the 9th - 12th (with the PIN) and pray the 13th will be available sometime in the next 66 days? What would you do in my situation? I would stick with BWI if the Contemporary wasn't so convenient for my gramma and I because of the monorail going to the two parks we are going to.

I'm switching to BWV real soon! :goodvibes I think an Epcot resort would be the best option due to the walk to Epcot and DHS since I'm going during the most crowded time and buses will be nuts! :scared1:

I don't think you'll regret it. :) I stayed at BWI over NYE and found it to be the absolute best resort for that crowded time period. It was so nice being able to just stroll into EPCOT without having to rush for a bus. :goodvibes

Oh, *kaffinito* I'm soooo happy to hear I'm not alone in spending my days in a complete Disney crazed fog. Mom was joking with me that I'll be on the phone with Disney while I'm in labor. :rotfl:

That wouldn't surprise me one bit! :goodvibes

Does your Grandma like the looks of the CR? If so, then maybe you could get the 9-12 with the PIN and try and get that one night either on a discount or just *maybe* pay rack rate for it just to get it. :wizard: After all, you do have 66 days to try for it. :goodvibes

So DS18 is telling me I should just go ahead and book the Poly so I stop talking about it. :)

I might just, even with no discounts.....

Not to be an enabler, but...DO IT!!!! :yay::yay::yay: :thumbsup2 I'd be SO happy for you!!!

Can you just see me now on the phone changing reservations between pushes?

Gramma gave me the ok for CR! It's cheaper than BWI, which is the one she suggested. :rotfl: I have BWI - Water View booked because that's the cheapest room they have with my PIN. If I do CR Bay Lake Tower View with the PIN, it will only be 3 dollars cheaper per night. :lmao: I would do Garden View if it weren't an attached building because it's even cheaper.

Someone just suggested that I could book the 9-12 and pay rack rate for the 13th, but there are no tower rooms available for rack rate or with the special offer that's on the website. It would be best if we just stay in the same tower.

Since the PIN expired, I don't think the rooms will go away, but I'm such a nervous nellie.

And book the Poly! If it's what you really want to do, then do it! :) Does the special offer on the website not work for your dates?

Congrats! :thumbsup2 :woohoo: :cheer2: :yay:

I'm still hoping something will come up for the 13th for CR, but I'm still happy about BWI. I keep forgetting to ask my gramma about ADRs. I only have one and that's for CG at 8pm for Wishes. I don't want to tie us down with reservations, but I don't want to be stuck eating quick service stuff and snacks.

50's Prime Time Cafe might be good - she might get a kick out of it. :) And why not treat her to the Tea at the GF? :goodvibes

I think she might like that! Especially since 3 of her 4 kids were born in the 50s so she might get a kick out of that! Tea at the GF sounds lovely! Where do I book a reservation for that?

Edit: I booked the tea party at GF at 3:30 on the 12th. I think that would be the best day to do that since we will be at the parks the first three days and on our fourth we can either do a park and go shopping or just go shopping all day with the tea party for lunch. It will be just grand! I will wait on 50s Prime Time Cafe because I don't know if we are gonna go to MGM.

:goodvibes That sounds great so far! :goodvibes

I'm getting so excited about it! :goodvibes It's been way too long since I have been to Disney World! (11 years :scared1:) Being able to stay at a beautiful resort and spending the time with my gramma will be just splendid! I remember my gramma and I did something similar to the tea party at the GF when she took me to the American Girl Place many years ago and I think it will be so much fun. Thank you so much for suggesting that! I would never have known about it if you hadn't said anything!

Now to wait for CR to be available on the 13th. :rotfl:

Edit: Do you think I will be too old for the tea party? I feel like I will be the oldest of the kids there, being 21 (when we will be there) n' all.

I BOOKED THE POLY!!!:yay::banana::cheer2::dance3:
OK, I want the lowdown:hyper:

~Thus far, what have you canceled and is the Poly your only booking now?

~Did you pay RACK:scared1:

~What longhouse did you request? This is my favorite site for choosing a longhouse. (I just pretend I'm going back to the Poly when I peruse it - you can actually really use it!)

BTW, between about three threads, no one has really even attempted to convince me to change WL/CL to BC/Deluxe:scratchin

Which tea did you book? there are two versions, one of them is called Garden View Lounge - Afternoon Tea and the other is called My Disney Girl's Perfectly Princess Tea. The first one is a fancy adult tea, and the other is the one for the little girls. :)

:yay::yay::woohoo::banana: YAY! I'm so happy for you!!!

:goodvibes I booked a cabana too. :teeth:

All right, since you booked the Poly, I guess I better call tonight and switch to BWV!

I'm not using a resort ticker this time!

Good idea! :goodvibes

I cancelled CBR and replaced it with Poly. :goodvibes It added a 1000.00 onto my price, but I couldn't help it. :cloud9: So now I have two days at AsSpo and three days at Poly.

And yes, I paid rack rate. :sad1: No AP discounts for my dates, but they still might come out :surfweb: so if they do I can apply the AP rate to my RO rate even if they come out on the 17th of April.

Now longhouse - I have always wanted to stay in Figi, marina view. So I asked for Figi, marina view, near DSA. So I might get what I requested, although so far none of my room requests at the Poly have been met. :guilty:

And no, no one has attempted to convince you to do BC Deluxe. :rolleyes1 Although I would like to try to convince you to do BWI deluxe! :thumbsup2

Wait, I feel left out! I don't have anything I want to switch right now. :sad1:

I can't believe your baby ticker is at 41 weeks. I guess you'll be eating more steak tonight...

Last night after the doctor I went straight to get a steak :rotfl:

:goodvibes I booked a cabana too. :teeth:

Party! I was thinking of renting one at GF since the entire family is now going. I thought it would be nice to have a central base and somewhere for everyone to just hang out in the shade with a fridge so no one (read: my dad) gets cranky in the heat.
