Resort Changers--The Saga Continues.....

Rack rate. GV room. The price is just I really love the Poly, but couldn't afford that amount for just three nights. It would be $351 a night with a typical Disney 35% off, but as it stands I can't do it.

Totally understandable! I don't think I'd pay rack rate at anything but a value resort! I could afford rack at other resorts, like mods or AKL or WL, but wouldn't on the principle of it. If I pay $185 at other places I can get a much better room.

In other news, I did a bad thing today. I lied to DS18 and told him that GF RPC was not available for his birthday, and talked him into AKL CL instead. It was $600 more at GF RPC with the discount!

So I'm a very bad mommy. But, if SL comes up for his dates then I'll switch. Maybe....

So our August trip is booked, and the first part is DVC so no switching those dates around!

In other news, I did a bad thing today. I lied to DS18 and told him that GF RPC was not available for his birthday, and talked him into AKL CL instead. It was $600 more at GF RPC with the discount!

So I'm a very bad mommy. But, if SL comes up for his dates then I'll switch. Maybe....

So our August trip is booked, and the first part is DVC so no switching those dates around!

Then I'm a bad mom too because WL is booked solid for our dates, and Poly is only available for a few. When he starts contributing to the vacation pot he gets more say in our accommodations!

$600 is a huge difference! You can eat a few GREAT meals for that money. I say you did a good thing!

We have a 1 bedroom at OKW on points, but our AP's expire soon so I'll have to pay for tickets. That 600.00 will come in handy for that.

Maybe I should let DHDH know I'm going again in August? He'll have a fit! Maybe I should wait to tell him until after he buys that new workout machine he wants.

I haven't switched yet, and it looks like the March 1st deals are a figment, so I'm either going to stay put at CBR, switch to POR, or book POP to save $$$. I hate paying rack rate.

Believe it or not, when we stayed at CBR it was the only trip I didn't have the urge to switch! I loved it so much and had been wanting to try it for so long. I didn't even try to do a split! I love the walk across the bridge to OPR. Knowing I can't stay there for another few years is torture!

I'm not a fan of the DIScounts this year! FD (although I never book it) had to be booked by December 20th. GP discounts coming out 8 months in advance. NO AP DISCOUNTS?! This is nonsense!!!
