Oh well, I love planning trips!

:wave2: I have THAT affliction too!!

DH thinks I am suffering from withdrawals right now since my next trip isnt til Sept..and he KNOWS I am not changing that resort cause then I have to answer to someone else.....and its not him...:rotfl2: :wave2:

Now that, my dear is the trouble with DVC. So many resorts, so many rules, and not nearly enough room to change! :thumbsup2

BCV so far. We are looking at DCL for three days at the beginning of the trip for a land and sea. Do we have to book a room on site for one day and then take the bus to the port? I'm clueless. It may mean looking for a room for one night. If so, what do you suggest?

One room for one night? That's going to be tough! You have to pick the right resort for that one! :)

Funny how you THINK DVC is the cure...NOT! :rotfl: But its definately not as easy to call CRO 4 times a day and change....Who does that?!!! :rotfl2:

Can't wait to hear abt Singinglizzie's trip and stay at the Poly!!!!

We are waiting.......:) We want photos!

well, after the resort changing for the end of Feb trip I had to postpone/cancel...then a great Ap rate for March that I couldnt use:(...I finally get to take DD11 for her trip in May!
Dont think I can change either! LOL

hardly any DVC availabilty over Memorial Day weekend, and 2 of my nights are on cash(DVC disc)....which was actually cheaper than a mod stay in a waterview room! Go figure!
And couldnt use my code I am using in Sept....and no AP rates out yet for May, although currently cant be used for weekends anyway!
So that is my story and I am sticking to it!
So now what will I do?! LOL

Where are you staying for your May trip? :coffee:

::yes:: yes please, photos~~~can't wait to see the Poly!::yes::
the advantage of my 3 previous changes has led me to be really happy w/ our final choice! Honest, the only thing I'd love is possibly a view upgrade upon check in! ;)

I want to see all of the pics and to read everyone's TR's! :goodvibes

I'm still jealous though. I really wanted to be able to justify going to the Poly in August. I still might try to make it happen for next Christmas though... :beach:

Where are you staying for your May trip? :coffee:

Saratoga Springs, have stayed twice before,, its quiet and relaxing:) I am lucky there was availabilty for the Holiday weekend. However, I did check for AKV and BCV first for the girls!;)

That's where we're staying with the DP's for our August trip! I hope we like it there! But hey, what's not to like - it's free and it's Disney! :)

What are DP's? It meant something not so nice where I grew up! lol

SSR is nice, I love the decor, its peaceful setting, pool areas are nice and relaxing! One of the quiet pools in Grandstand even has a bar! Gotta love that! And its never crowded, could actually be a feature pool IMO:)

It obviously doesnt have the hustle and bustle of an Epcot resort...or the Magic of a MK resort...or the feeling of AKL/AKV....its an escape:) You feel like you are at a spa miles away from all the crazies in the park! lol
Some dont like thats it is a sprawling resort...but makes for great walks!

Are you sure you're not thinking about DT's ?!? :rotfl2:

I'm looking forward to some quiet and to some really stellar walks - I requested the building closest to the pathway to DTD. :)

BTW Singinglizzie is back and posted a mini trip review. :)

Hey Everybody, we got in late last night from an amazing 5 night stay at the Poly. I can't begin to tell you how lucky we were with this trip. The concierge level is the only way to go and now Disney has ruined me :rotfl: . I told my Dh that I won't be able to go back without this level of service!!!! Of course, it's not true I'd go back in a heartbeat (even value :rotfl2: ) but concierge is definately my prefered choice. Anyhow - where to start - what do ya want to know? I am going to try to do a trip report, but had to give you all a 'preview" since you were so gracious to listen to my rants and raves for months!!!!! The weather, btw, was gorgeous, neither hot nor cold, the lines were managable, and everything we wanted to do opened up for us! They even opened a 2nd showing of Fantasmic the night we had planned to attend, so while the crowd went to the first showing, and the American Idol Finale, we went to Toy story Mania, and had a 20 minute wait - yes unbelievable since the wait was 90 minutes all day. For the heck of it, I checked the unattainable Fantasmic dinner package at Mama Melrose, which I must have called 50 times for (not joking here) and day of the ressie, at the restaurant it became available - believe it or not, we passed it up :lmao: . I guess those "resort changer qualities" carry on into other areas - ? Anyhow, we had an amazing room with a Cinderella Castle view and a view of my beloved GF. We ate way too much, but had sooo much fun. I tell you all the info I gleaned off the dis boards was invaluable. We were able to navigate like the pros. It truly was a magical trip. My 8 year old said the Poly was like paradise and she also said she felt like it was home! She is such a sweetie. She really got into the pin trading. I only bought her 3 pins, but she would up with 6, as several CS gave her pins!! Really we had lots of pixie dust. She even got picked for the Lion King show and at the end she got a special thank you from Timone - she was really beaming!!! Even my 13 yo son got really into the trip and had a great time. Well, I'm still Disney Dizzie, so let me know if you have any questions. I will try to post some pictures later. Wish I was still there!

Sounds like you had such a great time, Singinglizzie:thumbsup2 Please don't spare any of the details from us...we want to know EVERYTHING. I am very curious about Poly club level. Isn't it great when your whole family gets the magic and you all enjoy it?

I have a Q that I think people in this thread may be able to answer.. if not I'll visit the transportation forum.

I have my yellow Magical Express tickets for my luggage. They say POP-Classic and have AK inside the Mickey Ears. I upgraded resorts to POFQ, and when I asked the CM on the phone what do I do with my luggage tags (will I get new ones, etc.) she told me to cross out POP and put POFQ.

Well I'm a little hesitant about doing that since I don't want to lose my luggage. WWYD? Would you just pickup your bags yourself and go to the DME counter? Would you cross it out? Something else?

A great Q for this forum!

I have done both...(resort changing will lead to incorrect ME luggage tags;)

I have crossed out, and had no issues, and when I had my solo trip, I just grabbed my own luggage then went to the counter. It was easier on my own than lugging the whole family with lots of luggage!

You may receive an array of answers...but whatever you feel most comfortable with! :) have fun!

Awesome, thanks! I'm traveling alone as well, so I do not mind grabbing my luggage myself. Since I'm traveling from 2 feet of snow to the Orlando weather though, I'd hate to be stuck in too-hot-for-Orlando clothes for 2 days due to lost luggage. :rotfl2: I'll probably just cross it out and put a change of clothes in my carryon. :)
